Haha nope. They’re gonna be juuuuust enough above retail so that the reseller can make their money back (and see no profit), while Stock X or Goat can get a cut of the action.

Don’t know why ****ty resellers feel the need to force buyers to pay extra, just so the middle man can get paid.

I’m not a reseller but that’s how all things work. That’s business lol. Middle man has to get a cut. Why else would they be a middle man?

The profit has moved from the resellers mark up to the systems transaction cost (+ margin). Buying sneakers on StockX or Goat is so easy. Eliminates the local groups, hassle of meet ups, and makes inventory from anywhere available.

The reseller ties up their cash not stockx. They charge the buyer up front, get the float on the money and then pay the seller once verification occurs which is typically 3-5 days after the seller ships. Absolutely brilliant in a very similar way to Uber, Airbnb, etc.
