Air Jordan 1 HIGH ‘85 "Neutral Grey" - Early 2021

How ever you spend your money is obviously up to you. I can understand someone having this same pair in 1985 and wanting to have it again? Or perhaps a reseller looking to make $100-$200+ profit? Or maybe someone who is so rich that it won't even dent their funds?

But if none of those, "what void in my soul am I trying to fill by purchasing this product?" Less people now than ever have the ability for that type of introspection.

It's easy to get caught up in the way it makes you feel when you aquire them. The sense of accomplishment. But then ask, "What am I really accomplishing?"
Maybe people just buy it bc they enjoy it...when people go to the movies or a concert you tellin me they are trying to fill a void?

But one can say that for everything:
High fat, high carbohydrate food, strippers and prostitutes, pornography, gambling, drugs and alcohol, etc. "I'm doing it because I enjoy it."

Are people really spending $500-$1000 a month on movies and concerts?

People can obliviously spend their money on whatever they choose to ... I myself have spent a pretty penny on retro Jordans and designer shoes and boots and am glad I did, as I plan to wear them and enjoy them.

But where does it end? The elated feeling I got when I bought these objects has slowly faded and I find myself wanting more and more. It's not a feeling that I like.

If you are speaking for yourself....cool. $200 or $2000 is nothing to some people. Some people spend a ton of money and do not care. It’s not really up to others to say they need to change. It’s really none of our business.

If its not a feeling you dont like, do something about it then.

These cats at NT will make your feelings worse, don't fall victim lol.

The people on this board are hardcore product consumers, as I was a couple months ago. The defective Carmines and the inflated after market price of the Neutral Grey's put things in perspective. Not to mention the constant time, effort and luck it takes in trying to find these AJ1's at a reasonable price, made me take an objective look at all of this.

The folks on here who want to debate me on this, may perhaps feel insulted or annoyed that I'm mentioning these observations. But I know there are others on here who know exactly what I'm talking about and may feel the same.

I'm not going to hold you back. These are just some

Fabre it’s like a luxury car. People don’t need em. But want em. These products have the same kind of appeal to people. Now coming from where Jordan 1s were priced a couple years ago to where they are now, it’s tough parting with that kind of money. But clearly there’s a market for it, and if people value them at $500+, prices on the lower end will be $500. This isn’t a hobby anymore. there’s a profit to be made. I took up cycling as a hobby instead 😂

Like I said before, people can spend their money how they choose. $500 is a drop in the bucket to some. But I always ask myself:
"What will life be like if I don't aquire them?"
This goes for any type of recreational spending.

unlike everything else you just mentioned, you can simply sell a pair of shoes if they're no longer worth the $$$ to you

And my opinion, people should be paying for luxury cars in cash as opposed to a 30% APR, two-year plan. But people will do that anyhow because they want the high end vehicle and the precived status that goes along with it.

The more I think about the current sneaker game, I realize the only true winners are Nike and the Bot Resellers. Everyone else is taking it up the ***

For most, life is all about taking it up the ***. It’s all about how you deal with it.

The vast majority of people on here aren’t spending $500 though. There are some cats spending big money and copping the majority of releases but that’s not everybody. In comparison to the total NT subscriber base the big spenders are a small percentage. Most people coppin 1 to 3 max a month and many are flipping those purchases or previous purchases. Yea, you see the people dropping that bag and posting but most of us are just looking at the pics and throwin up the :emoji_thumbsup: or :emoji_fire:

Thankful for the EA from SNKRS 🍀🤳🏽🙏🏽!
