I wouldn't mind the gold as much if it was like Mustard instead of copper or coined.

And of course lows > mids w/out a doubt, I just can't rock gimmick color pattern. Neons are the only gimmicks I can lace up, no silver, no gold, no lights, no what-the theme, anything else is fair game.

I will probably scuff the paint off with some low grit sand paper leaving it rough and uncolored.

If the color under the gold isn't white/ish or leaving it w/ a finished look or decent, and I have to color them, I think a light blue jean type denim color, a shade similar to the sole.

Ha! I have them in hand.  The gold imo is actually more subtle and mustard toned rather than bright yellow gold or trophy.  If you like 11 lows my advice is to cop now and decide later on whether they are a keeper.
