Air Jordan 11 Retro "Concord" - December 8, 2018 release - $220 #45

My pair is already at my local ups center surprisingly. Knowing ups I bet they'll hold em until the scheduled delivery date tomorrow. They never deliver ahead of time though in this case its fine because I won't be home for a while due to finals.

I think more than 2 is a bit excessive for anyone who posts here because odds are you have a different pair of shoes for every day of the month at least, which means you really shouldn't be wearing them like that... but I guess for many people in this thread these are their grails or whatever.

It's hard for me to say because I only wear sneakers 1-2 days out of the week, which are my off days, so all my sneakers stay looking new for longer than most.

I guess I should say something since all these 5 pairs concords are directed towards me. Simply I guess I just love me some concords. And I had the chance to rarely pay retail for an retro pair I love why not. And who knows when these will release again. I know I know they might recycle everyth8ng with the 23 again. But these imo are as close to the 95 og concords as Nike will get. NOW if they release the OG concords with the real full grain leather then ima get 10 pairs lmao nah but seriously
This leather is as good as its ever been if not better on some pairs. Unless youre somehow talking about full grain patent.

I’ll chime in. I’m sitting on 5 Concords at the moment. I bought them because they are so iconic. I never did wear my original pair from the first release when I worked at Champs but I always did admire them. So why 5 pair?

I knew finding that elusive 12.5 would be hard so I bought the ones I could. Part of it is the thrill of the hunt too. The conquest. Finding the perfect pair or completing a perfect pair and wearing the not so perfect pairs. Eventually I’ll wind down to 3 pairs then maybe 2.

I did the same with the 2013 Fire Red 3M tongue retro. I got 5 pairs and to this day I have one left. I wore a couple and sold the others since were getting so close to a Nike Air version. That plastic leather makes for a decent winterized 5. Lol

2 pairs are plenty enough.

You know you have pairs and pairs and pairs of other shoes that need wearing. Realistically, after the cialis wears off from having new shoe excitement, youll be left with a pair of shoes you wear every so often in your rotation. So then you really only need another one on ice for when that pair bites the dust in 3 or 4 years.

By the time the 2nd one wears out you know the 23 is coming back and youll buy two of those... and after that who knows if youll even be around. Enjoy what you have now while youre guaranteed to be alive to do so.

Theyre not doing you any good sitting in a closet 3 or 4 deep.

If you play basketball in them then 3 pairs max

well yeah. 5 pairs is about what it would prob take for that but you said yourself that itll end up being 2 or 3. With that said, this pair of shoes is kind of an anomaly considering how many are out there vs how safe an investment extra pairs are. This shoe is literally the goat apparently. They couldnt make enough of them.

Interesting. I wore my barely worn first pair of "Space Jams" all day today and while I love them, I kept thinking I wish they had the shape, cordura padding, patent cut and overall look of my new concords. Agree about the stitched 23. Not sure the patent thickness is actually even a thing, I will check. If it is, it's miniscule. The white line on a black upper looks more pronounced than it does against the white upper of the concords. It can also vary from pair to pair. Either way, neither is the same as the patent quality on the OGs so it's basically a wash to me. Space Jams are sick, but these concords are on a different level overall in my book. Not even a question. I'd trade the differences you mention for the padded upper and improved shape/patent cut all day, every day, forever. But that's just me.

While the shape of the Concords is better and closer to the original, the quality of the shoe isn’t as good as even the 2016 PE. The sizing isn’t even accurate on the Concords. My size 10.5 is closer to a 10. In my opinion it a step sideways, not forward or backwards.

That's why I only got 1 tbh

1 pair is cool, even 2. Any more and they will be yellow by the time you get to wearing them, unless you plan to wear Concords every single day. Even the mesh eventually yellows some without wearing them.

I'd rather take that money that would have gone to extra pairs and get whatever the newest 11 is that is coming out, like the black and red next year.

Lmfao I was asking because of some shorts I wanted and saw they were cheaper on there, not the kicks.

They makin fake Jordan shorts now?

Seems fake. Name made me think so immediately. On top of that I can't find any reviews on them despite them being in the shoe business for """"4 decades."""" Even brick and mortar sneaker shops located in only one or two states or even abroad, will be pretty well recognized if they've been in business that long.

Don't do it to yourself man
You guys ever hear of Shoelose.ecuador.biz? Legit?

For me, 3 is the magic number. I had gotten 3 space jams and wore 1 a lot. When pair 1 reached the end of its life I threw it on Ebay and got 100 for it. Now I have a new pair to wear and still have a deadstock pair to keep as new in box. I did the same for thr WL82 and concords.

I can do with only 1 pair for any release. I have been a PT for almost 20 years so I've been rocking sneakers every damn day forever. I used to have a nice "work pair" and for a while it was the OG bred XIX's then my collection kept growing so to justify all the pairs I had (about 150 back then, roughly 85 now) I started wearing 2 different pairs a day. Now I have my own company and it's STILL sneakers everyday, but it's always indoors so I barely beat anything into the ground UNLESS I turn them into dedicated workout shoes, then they get ground up till they fall to pieces. Plus I feel once a shoe comes to the end of it's life, I've gotten everything out of it I needed to, so I don't have the mental or emotional want to crack open a fresh pair and keep going. That "chapter" is done so on to the next...THAT IS NOT A KNOCK on anyone who wants to keep a few pairs on ice to just keep the rotation going.

If like my dude a few posts back said about being in a stable financial place where buying multiple pairs isn't a big deal, then man I'm glad you cooked on 5 pairs. And for the rest of you guys who have a lot of sentimental value attached to these as well, get as many as you feel you need, of course unless it's outside of your means. Most of us are adults on here so we should all know how we should be spending our paychecks. I just love coming here and reading this stuff as I get older (39 now, with that 2002 NT join date lol)

^ Yeah I basically wear all of my stuff indoors at the office 90% of the time so they all stay in great shape. I don't need a double up on anything, although I have doubled up on a handful of very sentimental pairs just so I'll have the peace of mind in case I somehow destroy one. Personally I could never need 5 pairs of anything but that's just based on how I wear stuff, I know other people do things differently so I'd never knock others who think they need a certain number of pairs.
