I always thought that too many and or oversized jumpmans all over make signature shoes look like cheap takedown models by trying too hard.

The 38 are definitely better off without the big jumpman on the side.

I’m honestly not sure what you are looking at.

"We just take it up the exhaust pipe" speak for yourself man. Personally, I do not want or need a performance shoe that I can wear casually. I got retro aqua 8s. I wouldn't wear those to hoop in. I would love aqua 38s to hoop in. I wouldn't wear those casually.

I have jordan 36s, lebron 20s, and jordan 19s for performance basketball shoes. I care a little about on-court appearance but it's more function over form at that point. When my body is on the line, give me flywire, flyknit, high stress area reinforcement, zoom air, two kinds of foam, all that. When I'm chillin, almost every shoe I wear casually is a 1980s or 1990s design, some 2000s runners in the mix. I hardly wear any knit or sock-like shoes. I'm pretty happy keeping my modern performance shoes very separate from retro casual wears.

I personally think that dropping one or two CW that take a nod to the past is fine. Or subtle design hints is fine too.

yea with all the ****** hybrids they came out with nike really screwed themselves as far as implementing the older sig shoes into to current sig shoes. which is what they sought out to do in the first place. it forced them to have to look at other ways of incorporating past jordans into the current sigs which has worked better for some than others.
