Is it just me or are 4's very uncomfortable wearing them for the first 2 or 3 times? There's a spot right after the bottom eyelets that hurts so bad until they're broken in for me.

No, it's the same for me. Right where my big toe bends. I wore these to the gym and thought my toe was gonna be sliced off.

I’m not too familiar with the 99’s but was wondering if that was the case with the thicker tongue. Got my pair in the mail today. They’re pretty clean and that all black box was a nice change from the norm. All in all I’m glad I got em’. Can’t wait to see how they fit compared to my other J4’s.

The way I break in my 4’s is I double sock and wear them in the house for a week straight after that they break in perfect

That’s what it seems like after all. But if my memory serves correct, some site like Sneakernews (don’t really remember) was listing JD Sports as one of where to get locations tho. So, It’s possible that they were out in UK also.

noticed that too. I usually buy half size up, but they only had 11.5. Not bad, but yes that’s exactly where it hurts.
