How's the fit compared to the fire reds if you have them? Those were pretty true to size

The fire reds were almost a whole size down on my feet. A half size wasnt tight enought a whole size was too tight

Eh kind of odd. I fit an 11 pretty average little room little tight and compared to one of the shoes that are definitely half a size big i fit a 10.5 in the playoff XII.

Well the 12s fit half size big, just like the current run of 3s, 4s, 6s, and 7s. So you wearing half size down in those makes sense.

Yeah i know but the fire reds were an exception for me in that they actually fit true to size but everyone's feet is different so ill just go with my regular size 11 with this release.

There was some disagreement about the WC's, but I think the general consensus was to go down 0.5
For the most part recent IV's have run approximately 0.5 too big
But as always, to each his own

They look good. But the "black looks too black" and the laces look too "lacy"

Check the nubuck line , how the stiching "meets" the grey outsole...
A lot of early IV have this problem..

Check the nubuck line , how the stiching "meets" the grey outsole...
A lot of early IV have this problem..

So the second pair pictured isn't an "early release"? Even though these don't release for more than a month?
Also, could that line (stitching meeting grey outsole) have to do with the two pairs pictured being different sizes?

Lot of misinformation here.
Mods arent Gods, but I would study up a bit more before calling out IJP on his pair, he would know whether he got B-Grades or not
The poorly lined up leather, running into the grey outsole is an unfortunate feature of many 2006-2012 retro IV's. This is also the source of some of the banana toe effect.
Recent IV's have had this design flaw regardless of whether they are early release or not.
It has to do with the bootleg mold that JB is apparently using. Unless your lucky, your release-day model will have a similar problem
And as stated above, the pic you compared it too is also an "early release" model anyway

^ I just checked all my IVs, some are closer than the other, thankfully none actually ran in. The Cavs had one shoe that had the stitches come real close and one shoe that was more normal.
