On to other news...I'm very happy with these. I had the originals back in 1990 when I was a sophomore in High School, so this release was a must have for me. I could care less about pictures, because I simply love the shoe and the colorway. The only colorway that I don't feel in the AJ5 is the Laney's. :x Sorry to those who think that this is blasphemous on my part, but hey...It's my opinion.

Grapes are lame.

To me, grape 5s are one of those shoes that gives off a bad reputation for people. It shows me how deep you're into the shoe game. IMO.

Here is my thought process.

I see you with grapes, immediately I think, there goes someone who spends all of his time and effort into shoes, who falls into the circus of hype, and probably isn't excelling where it counts.

Same goes for concords and/or other big name limited shoes.

I give respect to a person wearing some lowtop cement print 11's IE before I give respect to anyone in grapes.

Imagen how it'll be on ig when the laneys drop

it'll be more subdued than this grape hysteria

^ LOL. True that.

My NDC order comes on Friday, but I might just wear my creased-up 06s until the soles begin to separate, THEN break out the '13s. They're already broken in anyway, and the netting is still mostly icey. Piss-yellow soles tho, but IDGAF...

what if the person that has grapes also has the IE 11s sitting at home?

it'll be more subdued than this grape hysteria|I

Reasons being:
A) There will be no tax refund checks
B) There is nothing in the refrigerator resembling a "Laney"
C) Laney's don't purportedly grow on trees

Keeping mine in the vault till at least the end of summer or maybe even next summer, the crazy IG pics just make me laugh not regret my purchase

Wow. As a fellow lover of shoes, I can feel you on this one, but it's a double edged sword. I say this because yes, I've been around for a while and I know that certain shoes are all hype. On the other hand I actually have all of these shoes that you've mentioned and other shoes, like my original Bo Jacksons, OG GP Gloves and so on. I've had them since they first dropped, yet I have to correct myself when I have these thoughts, because I'm not superior to anybody. I'm not putting words into your mouth, but that's how you just made yourself sound. I can go tit for tat on pictures of OG shoes with the best of them, yet I have to check myself, when I get on the pedestal and feel like everybody else are lames, hypebeats and etc. Not to mention, heck I never know what the person with the 2013 Grapes or Concords on has in their closet, nor can I honestly determine if they're in it for the hype or not. I'm just being real my man. I'm 38 years old with a 19 year old son in college, who you probably would look ate like he's a hypebeast yet, I've been lacing him up and his two siblings (sister 11 yrs old & brother 8), since birth. They have a meaner shoe game then most and that probably includes you. Shoes that are hyped don't determine if somebody is spending all of their time and effort on shoes, nor does it mean that they're neglecting or failing in life. It's just shoes my man. We should judge people by their actions and what they say, more than some shoes. You probably didn't intend to sound like a jerk, but you did. Some things are better not said. Who are we to judge? (no edits included).

Everyone is entitled to their own opinion. It is just athletic footwear, right? It actually sounds like you are putting too much time into sneakers the wrong way. Wear what you like no matter what people say about the sneakers, period. Respect is earned, hopefully by not wearing a certain pair of sneakers.

Don't be so superficially judgmental, my brother. It's ironic how you're bashing people who put too much time and effort into shoes, yet you're negatively judging people based on what they wear. That person could have gotten those shoes at the thrift store or from a donation for homeless people. That kid wearing those shoes could be a homeless kid who got everything he's wearing from donations for the homeless.

Damn bruh that was on point ! I respect what you just said here and agree 100% ! Respect on keeping the fam on point bruh ! That is the proper way of bringing in the new generation ! Clearly our actions and how we carry ourselves should be the only judge of character. according to the previous read out, you would be a broke goat who only cares about kicks. Yet you a grown man putting your kid through college and taking care of a family. So that ideology might not work In the real world. I hear you and your stance, well put !

BTW on a lol side note : My boy said his 11 yr old is kicking more heat than you ! Damnnn bruh !!! LMFAO !
