Wow props to jaysfordays9 for documenting the process. No hate here, but I can already tell that I don't like how the holes are going to look if I tried to do this. Fraying and pieces hanging, imperfections would not be worth it for me.

The UPS lady just dropped off my pair from SNKRS.

The NIKE AIR is definitely the best part. But I have to admit the quality of leather is bad. My pair came pre-creased. Even the leather on top by the tongue looks distressed. I’m not too happy about that. But if these punching holes through are successful, I might do the same.

Idk what he’s talking about but soft leather pre creases and when you put your foot in it goes away. The Leather on these are FAR better than 2013s their great for JB standards. Then again maybe he got a bad pair. But hey what do I know I’m just holding a pair of 2013s.

My left shoe had soft, pre-creased leather (I absolutely HATE pre-creases), and my right shoe had stiff leather with no creases.

More opinions on these
Leather quality: Not bad. Better than 2013 5s? Definitely a little softer.
Overall quality: Pretty high quality shoe. No glue, discoloration or other issues. Just a couple of loose strings here and there. I don't have different types of leather panels. Zero extra glue stains! Very comfortable on foot. Slips on my foot very easily. I have an average shaped foot, not wide, not narrow.

I rate these 9.5 out of 10. For me, this is not just a collection shoe. I like the convenience of no laces. I will be wearing them a lot.

Thanks man like I said there’s a thin piece of plastic separating both strips of leather I’m thinking for support but it also works to reinforce the holes I punched

Finished product, I included a pic of what I used. Not the hardest of customs, hope to see a few on here

I was thinking about punching the second row but there’s no need, for me at least. I kind of want ppl to know their Fresh Princes (although 80 percent of ppl won’t be able to tell). Had to snatch the laces and lace locks out the 2013s, the length on the laces are perfect( those are most likely out the door any day now).

In comparison to the 2013s the leather is far softer and higher quality , there’s more cushion, they wear better and are more comfortable. Finally we can’t forget that Nike air. The 2013s were tanks but incredibly uncomfortable so I barely wore em not to mention they ran kinda big. All in all a good remastered attempt
