My 2016 TB3's have just as soft leather as my Retro 88's - different texture but just as soft...

Which one has the "bad quality" leather? Any takers?

Widows peaks are a dead giveaway,the differences in the texture of the leather don't matter.Like you were saying just enjoy the shoes.

2011 was cheap and stiff and hollow compared to cdps

And that shiny paint on the back midsole crap

2011 colors were darker cdps were lighter

Cdp were slightly closer to 2001

2011 WC3 has a shiny white leather and the toe box creased very badly. Let's also not discount the paint chipping.

CDP's were awful as well. BC3's would paint chip and the sneaker overall was uncomfortable. Mold was all off as well.

We haven't seen a decent 3 model since the Fire Red 3 back in 2007 and that had some issues as well. Before those, I'd go with the 2003 WC3

When i saw those white grey stealth 2005 V I it was thinner stiffer than the 2000s. Tongue was little less padded. However jb had few hits like dmps (keep in mind comparing this to concord 2011, annually from 2005 to 2014 ish the quality was more of a miss than hit.)

2011 banned

Only till remastered of 2015, jb has produced some better quality hits like og retros, 1,4 na, 5 na, 11 sj.

I dont own 12s, maroon 6, hare/pantone 7, but they look on point. Aqua 8 and Bordeaux 7 had promise. Just needed little tweaking


They gotta work on 3s more, 6,7, etc.

2011s are trash? New news to me. I love my pair. And they're still in good condition.

How old are you?

If you've been picking up kicks since the early 00's, you'd understand why people don't like the 2011 pairs. Honestly, the 3's never have been the same since 2007. Fire Red 2007 model was the beginning of the decline. It's really ashame, because most people now wouldn't know a good mold for the 3's unless they got their hands on the 88' White Cements that came out a few year back.

True Blue 3's from 2001 had the best mold and quality. Following the 2001 BC 3's and then the White Cement 3's from 2003. Everything after was trash, besides the 2013 WC 3's.

34. But I guess it won't matter to you if I can't say I had every retro they came out with to compare. Just the 2007 & 2013 fire red and 2011 black/cement. All of which I have been satisfied with.

Nike hasn't been successful with a 2006 7s were great quality, the smooth and tumbled leather on the cardinal 7s in 2006 was amazing. Shadow 1, and Nubuck 12 was good too. Only flaw for Jordan 8s was the paint and the claps breaking easy. The nubuck on the 2008 playoff 8s was lit.

2013 & 2014 1 were cool, but after 2015, they fell. Still nice tho

The 2015 Bordeaux in comparison to its OG is just as nice as the 94 retros in comparison to their OGs. Not the same shape and some colors and different but they still hold up. The 2015 Bordeaux is a retro of the Korean '92 OG Bordeaux anyway. The pair you posted is the Taiwan OG '92 Bordeaux which are a little different than the Korean made pairs

Honestly I think the leather is similar in softness, quality is very similar - the TB3's are more tumbled and the EP cut is higher and more boxy, I do notice big time that the 2011 BC3 and 2016 TB3 are much more of a similar shape than the Retro 88 overall.

Can't ever have enough 3's! Keeping my DS 2011 on ice until more info about these NA's surfaces or they confirm.

Since JB changed the shape for the Space Jam and the Bordeaux 7, they might change the shape of the 3. The shape changed from 2014 to 2016 even though it was worse. This Black Cement 3 is a very important drop; we on NT think folks will buy no matter what, but from what I've been hearing from folks across the country, they will skip or wait to go on sale if the quality(to most its craftsmanship issues like glue, un even EP, visible brush strokes, etc) is not up to par with at least the cyber Monday. True Blue 3 release taught us that a Nike Air or the name Retro 3 will not automatically sell. True blues may have sat for a couple weeks if they had nice quality AND proper colors

2008 cdp ep & 2016 tb3 ep. They are almost same thickness

Also look at differences in air units, i prefer smaller thinner units

You're the only person I know who has spoken highly of the CDP. Those sneakers were the most uncomfortable sneakers I've ever worn. Ended up selling away most of my pairs because of the sheer discomfort. Couldn't get around to wearing them without feeling pain.

The 5's were mostly good around the early millenia, and so were the 13's and 14's. Quality really started to drop around 2008. Fire Red 3's had the best mold IMO, but the paint job was awful.

I wish they'd make more 3's with that mold.

I liked the 07 fr3, and considering the cdp came out about a yr later, they mustve used the same molds. However the 2001 tb blk cem, & 03 jordan white cem 3 was superior to the 07 & cdp. I had all 3 one time, only have ds 2001 blk cement now. The comfort of course better than 07 & 08. U know annually things should have gotten better, only until 2015 did jb try to make some things right, now with higher prices, its what we should have got before, at lower prices. Ill still say, so far, original and 1st retro (99-04) quality is generally better than some remastered js

Black Cement 3s will not sit like the True Blue 3s, regardless of glue issues, uneven EP etc.  I love both shoes but TB does not compare to BC hypeness...
