Air Jordan IV “Black/Cement” - May 4th 2019

How long do you usually wait to wear your shoes? Does it depend on model, price point, and rarity?

When I was an active buyer, I'd wait a few months to let the hype die down before wearing them.

There's nothing worse than wearing J's during the release weekend and EEEEEEEVERYBODY has the same shoe on.

One of the main reasons why I rarely buy J's anymore - especially the 11s. Love looking at them, but way too oversaturated.

Motivated by BigSparky1316 BigSparky1316 I've started restoring two pairs of my 99s. I hope to post the results soon.
I have a 3rd pair that has the best shape of the bunch and flawless Durabuck. I'll wait until after I see what happens with these two to do those.

I'm going to wear them with the cracked Durabuck and leave everything oxidized except for the midsole paint which will be fresh.

The first pair has the most wear on the durabuck and was made in China.

Second pair has the Durabuck in better condition and was made in Vietnam.

So dope bro! You're gonna kill it with the Restore.

kind of crazy to think that when these came out two years ago they were so easy to get

my local FTL and Champs had numerous pairs available the day of release or it may have been pairs not picked up the day after

everyone is a "sneakerhead" now and everything sells out

walked into Nike in la an hour after release and picked out the pair I wanted. Those were the days. We’re production numbers higher? Or did people really not give a damn? Had the same
Experience with infrared 6s that year.

everyone is a "sneakerhead" now

example, I was at the park the other day and there were about 10 kids playing basket ball...probably half were wearing Jordans (even if they were Jordan 1 mids)

I saw a girl probably about 15 years old walking down the street the other day...dressed like a normal high school girl but a pair of the recent Jordan XIII release

looked a bit off on her 🤷‍♀️ but whatever

Glad to have them back. I sold all 4 of my pairs during the lock down. This time around I’ll be fine with 2.

I need to throw these back in the box and shelf some so I wear something else…I’m just being lazy

I feel you both. I regret selling my size 12 pair, but I REALLY needed a 12.5. I've worn my 12.5 pair, like 10-12 times. I haven't even unds'd my Black Infrared 6's, and I have 3 pairs of them. I haven't touched my Fire Red 5's either. I have two pairs of those.

:lol::lol::lol::lol:

I can’t believe this release was already two years ago :smh:

These and the infrareds were the easiest releases ever, all the mall stores had plenty of these and FCFS. I coulda walked outta the store with 5 pairs if I had wanted.
In retrospect, you could have made close to 1k if you did that. The resell on these is ridiculous for a 2 year old gr.
