^^^ you guys are WAY off! the biggest difference is the toe box is about 1,639 times longer than the '99 retros, you can't honestly tell me that youdon't notice the difference. it's like looking @ the differences between rosie o'donnell and rachel starr (if you don't know who it is, lookher up!).

The toe box is the same size as the 2006 retros. The pics looks extra weird I think because they might have been taken with a wide angle lens. And RachelStarr is one of the ugliest %#%*+%@ in porn, so please get up on your porn game as well.

stupid excuse right..yeah, so apply it to da Jordan IV's that were already retroed perfectly 9 years ago....what happened, all of a sudden they forgot to do that? a billion dollar company forgot how to give us that?

JB uses cheaper material to save more money for them. the design of the iv's cause the cheap material to lose the overall shape so they decided to alter the design of the shoe to help keep the shape using weaker more inferior material. i believe this it the reason why the design is so different....

Then JB shouldn't say that their shoes are quality products because they using cheap material.
As for the Nike Air argument, I've been known that it was not coming back even though the insiders on this site swear it wascoming back. Jumpman on the back, fine. BUT I have a problem with this shoe because they look exactly like fakes. The netting, shape, everything. If they atleast resorted back to the original mold of the 99s with a Jumpman on the back, it would've been less of a issue but people here don't care.

And no I never owned a pair of the Black/Reds if that matters.

I agree 1000%. 18 pages of people whining and complaining, yet somehow these J's, like most of the others, will sell out in minutes.

I should say that I do agree that the quality of J's has decreased quite a bit in recent years, but it bugs me when people are SO angry at the waythe mesh slants or at the "shape" of the shoe. I couldn't care less about the slight difference in both those things. But that's me. Everyone's entitled to their opinion, I just think some people are blowing it out of proportion.

I think the problem is that people have become so jaded because of the amount of fakes that have flooded the market. It has made people skeptical andover-analytical about every aspect of the shoe, right down to the shape of the shoe and the slant of the mesh... ridiculous.

I'm 34 years old and I guess I was just lucky enough to have been there since the beginning, when things were a little more "pure". There wereno fakes. Hell, there wasn't even an internet. Honestly, until around 2002, I had absolutely no idea that other people shared the same love for Jordans Idid, other than myself and one of my friends! lol

I think if we want things to change for real, we need to voice our opinions directly to Brand Jordan or Nike. Unfortunately, whining on a sneaker forumdoesn't get you too far... especially when all these "low quality" shoes sell out in minutes, as I mentioned earlier!
