My 05 pair still looks good except for the nasty glue stains on toe area. I might cop if quality is better than the 05 version. The XIIIs have good quality this time around so maybe the XIVs will be the same. When is JB going to retro the XVIs? I want to own a pair of the White/Navy again.

Wore my 05's to the mall

to the people asking about the nubuck on these... its horrible... its rough and collects mounds of dust, and it just feels

but the suede on the inside with the padding on these is

so soft and comfortable like pillow.

edit: Here are pics of how course and porous the suede/nubuck is on these... so if you havent acutally seen a pair this is probably was we are going to get again. its like nails on a chalkboard when you touch the toe boxes on these. pics were taken from my blackberry bold.

These last forever. I wouldnt go foam forever, but IMO the OG and retro were built like tanks. I currently have the retros which have been worn 100's of times and they still look good. For that reason only I will most likely pass.

Don't understand why everyone is bashing the '05 retros. Personally I tought they were a very good likeness to the OGs -the nubuck on the OGs was quite rough too.

But for this 2011 retro, I think there's a good chance JB will go for the thick suede type material they used on the black/varsity red VIs.
