What exactly is zoom air? Is added only to certain parts of a sneaker on top of the regular air or replacing it?

In short, the most comfortable and responsive cushioning that I've ever used. Its not added on top of another bladder in the case of the Penny 2, although it has been double-stacked in other Nike models. First Jordan debut was the XII, hope that helps.

Awesome thanks. Never had a pair with zoom. I had a pair of 12's from 2012 but I doubt they actually used zoom on that retro.

If it says zoom it has zoom. Just like if it says air it has air. Full length is a different story.
