Apparently Nas had ghostwriters for "Untitled"

I am realizing ONE thing here, the people who are pushing the fact that Nas has used ghost writers due to this chick's claims, are all member who have just joined Niketalk. Add to the fact that no man, past 20, will have new interests in joining a message board. Leaving me to deduce that ya'll are 15-16-17. Meaning Nas dropped his first album almost before you were born.
Listen to all Nas' flow its exactly the same. No question dude uses no ghost writers.
I've actually been here for years. Got banned a couple of times, lost my original Milkman Dead name when the site flipped.

And...if you can't tell from the pic...Nas is my fav rapper of all time and I'm am well aware of his music...

..****** just need something to write and run their mouths about...they don't have anything interesting to say for themselves so they make up lies to slander someone else's career :smh:

 then dudes gonna try and act like Nas has been exposed when both artist clearly denied ever writing for him.

if I used a couple lines or a hook that somebody came up w/while they are in the studio with me...are they my ghostwriter? NO.

Heaven and Hell was written by Raekwon...but Ghostface rapped it with him...is Raekwon's Ghostface ghostwriter now? NO.

Your the ***** tryna redefine terms...like hetero and homo sexual....**** outta here...you dont have an opinion...go study for your MD crab..

Nas is my favorite MC and I didn't want to believe this at all...but after mulling it over, there is some truth to it.

Nas is a very conscious cat but he never once spoke about the Prophet Noble Drew Ali prior to this album.

Jay Elec happens to be a member of the Moorish Science Temple of America. That's definitely his input.

But I'm sure this is being blown out of proportion to discredit the God after his recent success with Life is Good.

Untitled was a concept album that attempted to make a powerful statement, he probably rounded up his other conscious partners to help put their stamp on the content and expand on his ideas.

Almost every MC does this in one way or another, whether it be friends, producers or other artists helping them throw ideas around.

We're talking about the man who wrote Illmatic as a teenager and penned some of the most profound lyrics in the history of the genre.

I typed Sticman in the FB search.not my fault he has multiple pages...you should learn how to properly spread information once you find it :D

Your right that I should have put the link originally but it was pretty easy to find using google by just typing in nas, stic man, facebook, but it doesn't really matter now.

For those of you who think Stic Man wasn't clear enough, here's an interview he just did with Vibe...

As a producer can you talk about how you approached your collaboration with Nas?
To me, ghostwriting, as far as I know, is hiring somebody to write words for you to actually say. That didn’t happen. The way we got hired for Nas’ project wasn’t clear up front. M1 was in L.A. before I came to L.A. and he was like, “Nas wants to bring you out here to work on this project.” I remembered thinking we were just going to do a song together. But I later found out we were there to work in general: production, writing and ideas to help develop some of the songs on the album. So of course I’m thinking, “It’s called the ****** album so that means you want dead prez type songs together, right?” But it was revealed to me that Nas wasn’t looking for that. He didn’t want us to rap. He wanted help with beats and concepts. And that surprised me because I’m thinking, “You want beats??? Of all the people to make beats for, you want us to make beats?” I was like, “Wow.”

Jay Elect is from NO...HE is the one clearly inspired by the east coast movement which is heavily 5% and NGE influenced...

MSTA has been around since the 20s but Nas has never spoke or rapped about their teachings until Untitled.

Electronica is registered member of the temple and hes been spreading the word around the industry...too much of a coincidence for me.

Im familiar with the Moorish movement...regardless of that..it all falls under the same umbrella of the Islamic movement in black America which Nas has always been a proponent of...and thats all that matters right now. NOT Drew Ali..its not about revering them or any other man...but understanding the oneness of God, the Creator of the Worlds himself...

the industry has been on it

I'm not talking bout spiritual practice or philosophy....just saying Nas never brought up the name Noble Drew Ali in his music or interviews until he worked with Jay Electronica.

Sure he may have known about him before but to me that's solid proof of Electronica's influence on that album.

So basically since he never spoke about it before, he cant speak about it now? And we arent talking about Jay Elec "influencing" the album, we're talking about him sitting down and writing lyrics for Nas, which has been disproven. Casino may have been influenced by the Godfather, but that doesnt mean Francis Ford Coppola (or whoever wrote it) ghostwrote the script

Read my first post, I'm defending the dude.

I think the whole ghostwriting claim is way overblown but I do think Jay Elect had a significant influence on the content of Untitled. Whether he wrote a couple bars for him or just provided concepts I don't know but his fingerprints are on the album. he has admitted to that much himself.

I will say that Queens Get the Money does sound more like a JE style rhyme scheme than a Nas one.

There's already a recent interview where Nas denies this. They may have chimed in here and there but wrote the album. No.

Nas was rapping about Malachi York back the late 90's...Lost Children of Israel...ancient KMT...I've heard dude spit it all.

Rakim was very influential in his raps when it came to putting knowledge out there...and with Rakim being one of Nas favorite rappers you don't think dude was up on it back then?

Same with Wu...even Dre from Outkast was on that back when he switched up his persona when ATLiens dropped.

Some of the **** ya'll given credit to Jay was actually a byproduct of his relationship to Erika believe it or not.

Ya'll some dummies if you believe Nas has other people write some of his songs. That's ludicrous.
Please listen to POETRY BY CORMEGA. TYPICAL NAS STAN.

Why don't you go back and listen to Poetry because you clearly misinterpreted what Cory was saying. He was saying that Nas used the line "Life's a ***** but God forbid the ***** divorce me" and the term "street dreams," both of which were originally Cory's, and that Nas exaggerated his involvement in the streets to a level similar to Cory's involvement. What he's NOT saying is that he wrote the songs "Life's A *****" or "Street Dreams" or any other Nas song.

As for the topic at hand, I highly doubt stic.man, Jay Electronica or anyone else literally wrote verses or entire songs for Nas. It would take more than what has been made public at this point to convince me that that happened...

When the person who's credited with being the ghostwriter states that the person he's supposed to have provided the services to is not in need of such services then nothing else needs to be said on this topic and the honorable thing would be to issue an apology.

I began my writing career calling out Dr Dre for his misogyny. My friendship with Jay Z began when I reviewed Reasonable Doubt and called Jay out for his hyper-capitalism . I was not ‘calling out’ Nas by telling the truth about dpz writing whole bars (ne songs) on Untitled. I was telling a truth to someone who thought Nas’ most radical verses were his own. They were not. I’m unsurprised that these men have circled around their lie. I’m unmoved by the misogynist threats I’m receiving in open forums (last night Just Blaze tweeted I should be “bled out”). But I am done. I may not be done talking about this (unsubscribe to my feed if you like, I reserve the right to block who the fuk I want), but I am done with hip hop and men who collude to silence women. And done with women who are happy they’re not me. Don’t worry. You could never be.
