I was about 20 miles or so away, watching it at home with my parents on tv, and remember thinking it's the end of the world.   I was 8 

But yeah, I'll always have that in my memory bank.

I was nine. Living in Italy, I was very removed from it. But I distinctly remember watching the news with my dad when the Rodney King Verdict happened and him saying "@@#$'s about to go down."
