I wore my Aquas and a lot of my other neglected shoes a few times during the past summer. Time is flying so fast. I fear a casualty is ahead the next time I lace em up lol

Man I could never wear Aqua Jordans with a Utah Jazz fit lolEnded up breaking mines out two days in a row. Sold mines a few years back then was able to re-cop them again and instantly remembered why I loved this C/W so much
Seems like leather Js would be better for the Winter. You don’t want all of that snow and salt staining the suede.wearing mine today
these my winter boots
The '15 Aqua's don't use suede. It's more so a faux Durabuck that Nike created to use in place of the original Durabuck from the 80s/90s due to them no longer having access to it or more specifically, no manufacturer to create it. I remember people in this thread coining the term "Nikebuck" during the time of this release as a result. Regardless though, whatever it is, the material is incredibly resilient much more so than traditional nubuck or suede. I've worn my first pair through rain, sleet and snow and the material cleaned up fine every time. Even the suede overlay on the heel and eyestay. Yet despite it so, they always cleaned up fine. I live in southeast Michigan so it isn't like our winters are something to scoff at either.Seems like leather Js would be better for the Winter. The 2015 retro really looks identical to those 1993 OG’s! It’s literally 1:1
Pretty much. Besides the absence of actual Durabuck, the the only thing Nike could really have done to make the '15 release even more accurate is to once again use open cell polyurethane for the midsole which is what the OGs used, and darken the suede heel as well as the eyestay. The 2015 retro really looks identical to those 1993 OG’s! Also, the pull tab in the back doesn’t come up as high as the OG, or maybe it’s just more attached to the inner booty so it’s smaller. But yea other than that, near perfect retro. Love my pair though I don’t wear them as much as I should.Pretty much.
