Understood, but some pieces of advice flat out don't work, or worse, may even work against you.

My boss always says that **** when something bad happens. I actually had to tell him to stop saying that and make stuff happen.

I'm really his boss it seems. He's way too passive. I'm the dude who makes stuff happen. I just give him lists of stuff to buy and stacks of paperwork at this point. Good guy but needs to man up.
