whatever hippie sushi chef is making multigrain sushi needs 2 chops to the throat

Growing up I always ate white rice.

But once I left for school I ate mostly brown rice, preferred it actually.

I know Koreans eat that purple rice which is pretty good as well.

Rice will never be out of our diet. Just like hamburgers and french fries for white people.

California born Filipinos don't mingle with Philippine born Filipinos. It's probably different in other states. But I grew up distancing myself from FOBs cause it was the mentality we all had.

I love all food though, I just eat Thai the least :lol

This. Thai is the GOAT Asian food if we are ignoring Indian. All of the Vietnamese spots I have been to were just for Pho, havent had "real" Chinese to make a true judgement.
Go to your local Chinatown.

1 being its my ethnicity and what I grew up on and Vietnamese Pho is that last supper type of meal for me :lol.

I dunno, I've never been overly impressed by Taiwanese Beef Noodle, Pork Belly, Popcorn Chicken, Etc. No hate, just personal preference.

Bun Bo Hue > Pho

The problem is mind-blowing Pho is few and Far between, most pho spots out side Vietnam are mediocre at best.

even in vietnam I like maybe 2 places.

It's one of those things that's seem super simple but extremely difficult to execute well.

Am I the only one who thinks pho is hella overrated
it's still my favorite food ever

thai and vietnamese food are my favorite cuisines. i can't really eat japanese food since i'm allergic to seafood. taiwanese food is good too.

i'm a tad bit sick of filipino food because that's what i've been eating my whole life

i do love a nice bowl of arroz caldo or chicken tinola though

btw, do you guys like to make home-made pho? i attempted it a few times and i like the way it tastes, but i'm just curious -- what kind of bones/cuts of meat do you guys like to use to make the broth? i like to put oxtail and knuckle/leg. in my experience, cooking the whole steak in the broth makes my broth a little cloudy
