Asian Culture Discussion Thread

I primarily use pork belly, occasionally pork shoulder. I'm not really a fan of fish in stews so I don't ever cook sinigang that way. I like shrimp but it's too much work to get to the meat after it cooks, I feel like my food cools off too much by the time I'm done :\

I always cringe everytime someone Asks/says-

"Where is it made?"
"Is it made in China?"
"Buy this cause it's made in the USA"

Or

I belong in a Toyota forum and a lot of this is repeated.

"Buy this (said part) from this company because it's made in the USA. Not that J@p crap".

-"but you drive a Japanese truck"

"Toyota Tundras are made in Texas"

And then they proceed to bash American trucks like chevy and ford.

Smh

If someone makes a better product than someone/where else, I am buying the better product, I don't care where it is from. I do care about the ethics of how it is made, but not the where.

I always thought pork belly for sinigang was standard. I don't think I've ever veered off of that.

But after writing that, I feel like having bulaklak tonight now

So good, yet so bad.

Asking some of the gals and it started from fast and furious saga to Asian men have nice skin and hair....

Any experiences?

My current girl (el salvadorian kylie jenner look a like) told me she just started liking Asian men when she turned 28. Good for me I guess. I guess this can be said about a lot of races but as more American Asians have kids, there really won't be any backlash from them as parents as it was with first generation born Asians in America with their own parents. This so called Asian fever will get even more normal.

^True. I think we're a lot more open minded & liberal compared to our parents Who were raised in more conservative environments.
