so all that time i spent unlocking things for these are now available first day?

also the patch did more harm then good, i can't find any cq matches in wake island or any of the new maps... i'm forced to just go to the quick game mode (which i don't want to do cuz i rather play cq over rush)
when i click on servers... there are NO servers...
hopefully they fix the patches problem before the 3rd dlc drops...

The patch seems to go hard at air vehicles, especially helis. Isn't it one tank shell=dead pilot?
Heli pilots that fly low near tanks will have to have some crazy skills to maneuver around and what not.
Wont seem as rewarding now that you can one hit a heli and destroy it.
My last game, I destroyed and killed two guys in a heli for flying low and straight at me
Feels pretty damn good to get these type of kills.
Im on PC btw.

i guess the reason i couldn't find servers was (i guess) everyone was dling the patch at the time...

i know this much... that damn update took a long min... and afterwards my G18 dont murk SH*TTTTTT
I only use the SV98 w/ straight pull and silencer and pistol... the G18 was a way for me to run and gun a lil when i get bored pickin ppls pumpkins...
now whatever the matchup the G18 loses even when I register first hit in the chest... its damn near impossible to get headshots with the G18 when it should be really easy like it used to be

On PC it's much easier to rack up those points since rounds last much longer. Had a 78-minute 64-player Conquest round at Wake Island at one point.Originally Posted by Spidermachine916

That's why you get some PC players with ridiculous SPM (Metro Conquest-64) apart from the hackers. But mp3911 is a good player.
Didn't know the PC patch went up as well. Gonna do a fresh install on my SSD and re-download everything again. Looks like my GPU won't get here until Monday at the very least, too.

Can't game now... but my EVGA GTX 680 should be here by the weekend. And I got to re-install BF3 first since I installed a new SSD. Hopefully makes playing sweeter.

I've racked up 9k+ points on conquest a few times on 360. It's easy if your teammates are whack and you have to do everything.

You can now buy kit unlocks. Interesting. I can see both sides of the argument though.
Spend hours unlocking stuff only to find out DICE releases it as a paid product
or
Weapons/Kit does not equal skill. Allows a lot of people to catch up that don't have the time and everybody plays with the same equipment.

Future entries in the Battlefield series could feature a subscription model, according to an EA exec.
Speaking in an interview with VentureBeat, head of the EA Games label Patrick Soderlund said the publisher was considering using regular fees to increase the revenue generated by its blockbuster shooters.
"I think it's fair to say that we're looking at that," he said. "Like all other companies, we're looking at how we can maximise our investment in this and get the most out of our investment and get more people playing this product.
"That may take us to different places, but we're not really talking about where that is yet."
Soderlund went on to add that EA is treating latest outing Battlefield 3 as a service, rather than a standard game.
"We look at it as a 24/7 service," he said. "We have people in Stockholm and North America and other parts of the world that are on this every single hour of every single day. 365 days a year. We have an operations team at DICE to look at telemetry data.
"How are people playing the game, how can we improve the experience? Are they having problems? Are servers down? Are they up? All that stuff?"

service my @$^%. they don't really even listen to the real community. they've sold out. Trying to copy Activi$ion to cater to the COD kiddies.
Can't believe a game in 2012 doesn't have PC VOIP -on the "LEAD PLATFORM", nonetheless.

Paying for unlocks has been there for a while. Gets the new guys in the game up to speed. Not really complaining about that. Almost unlocked every gun... Just have to try harder for the vehicle unlocks. Haven't played BF3 in a month or so, so that's going to be a challenge.

i got 57K yesterday playing a 2k tix in the new 5 pt wake island map for 2 solid hours
