Damn, Big Sean is really underrated on here I guess because I don't venture into the music forum as much so I'm very surprised. To each its own. I think he's someone who's extremely versatile, and Detroit to me was a great album. HoF appears to me like it will be even better.
And as I alluded to before in this thread, Drake as big of a megastar that he is, is still underrated when it comes to rapping IMO. In this thread alone I saw things like "Drake isn't close to kendrick rapping wise" and things like that. To me, his ability to compose songs with singing and melody completely overshadows the fact that he raps well...very well. There are several examples where Drake flat out raps better than virtually everybody else, (and I would post the records but I think post of you have heard them) but gets overshadowed by Girls love Beyonce, and the Marvin's Rooms of his catalog. While I love those records and think it speaks volumes to his versatility, most see those records and point to those records as to why he can't out rap kendrick, or whoever else gets called great because they over-rap the hell out of their verses.
But i'm sleep though.
Big sean is cool, but son has no passion in his voice. Its almost like that kid in class that reads with no type of emotion or voice fluctuation. Dry as hell.
I don't want to hear you read Beowulf all pale n ****. I'm going to go to sleep.
Thats how Sean sounds a lot. And this verse wasn't any different. He always has bars, but you don't feel them, so they go overlooked.
And when he does get hype, he sounds like a damn child.
I **** with dude though. He got some good songs and some bars. But I can't listen to him for long.
