I listened to his specials after his Chapelle Show stint.

I’m not sure how comfortable folks would be with his in your face type of humor today.

Ironically, I think the younger generations would be the most uncomfortable. Chappelle made the message a lot more digestible for others.

Mooney is relatable to me because he speaks exactly how my Mom/aunts/Grandma used to talk in an unfiltered setting. (So I’ve always understood the ayo rumors )

Eh, he has the lifestyle that would make it acceptable. Don't think he would get backlash the way a straight black man would.

he never copped to that nor did he present as/being accepting of that 'lifestyle' such that he could get a pass...that noted i don't think any comedian that really takes their craft as being for these jokes is really concerned about the backlash these times...
