wouldn't disagree that a language could have that affect, and not that any other action should exclude it, devising a new language is no small or quick undertaking, and to have it formalized and taught seems like it would be a massive thing especially given the current shortcoming of the current system, the same end goal might be achieved by a different framing easier? is esparanto big? i've actually never heard it spoken or met a speaker..not that that means anything

i find that an odd critique...don't see why a discussion should stop on agreement, a discussion is a back & forth, no? i don't mean to imply extremism, just an honest parsing of the stated goal and the means by which you suggested to achieve it; like using language to attempt to unity a people is really difficult thing (ask china) isn't there an easier way to do the same thing? i have no problem with 'pro blackness,' i am a black man...but here is a question, why has the discussion been so one-sided? for example, black women live in this same world face some of the same challenges, and by many measures are doing much better than black men; how are black women coping in ways that black men are not? why shouldn't that be brought up?

you say its all random nonsense, (i could probably spend more time and be much more focused & succinct, though the effort reward equation for a forum post is low incentive) but it makes sense to me that all these things connect...

Benign neglect has nothing to do with pushing the lgbt agenda.

Have you even studied the philosphy of the policy?

The real disctraction is being done by people like you and umar, who don't understand that this negative fascination with homosexuals is being used to divide the struggle for equality.

You can't focus on making progress when you have to constantly point at the lgbt community and try to justify your negative opinion of them. Let them be, address them with respect, march in solidarity when you both have the same ideas and goals in mind.

I think homosexual acts are disgusting to me in the same way that people who are into scat is disgusting to me.

But I'm not gonna push a negative agenda against any group when im focused on a positive agenda for my group.

I jump in here to deal with these issues:

solutions for strengthening group economics

black people's obsession with egypt

lack of leadership in the current civil rights movement

Religion being used to undermine progress

attacks on the lgbt community being a waste of energy and time

NO Umar did not attack the lgbt community. He is basically talking the history of how the movement came into form in this country and how it is now being intertwined with the black struggle and confusing ppl.
