In my college, I'm one of ~350 black students out of 20K total.

I do the head nod on occasion, but it's mostly due to eye contact.

Yep, it's real weird to make eye contact and not do ++$%, especially when you both know you made eye contact.

I'll nod if I'm out of the country. Summer of '99, Sherbrooke, Canada, a white lady stopped in her tracks,

, and looked at my godparents fam and mine and said she'd never seen blackpeople before.

To this day I wonder if she was saying that to be an a hole or seriously.
