I'm already liking this Owen Slater guy. Nucky's going to need another Jimmy and he seems up to it.
This

,that scene where him and Harrow were both aiming at each other reminded me of Omar and Brother Mouzone on the Wire, evenly matched and mutual respect. He seems more than capable of taking care of business.

This show just got REAL...
Nucky has goons now and Jimmy and the Commodore got goons.

Nucky upped the ANTE. Blatant disrpesct for Jimmy. Sunday's Episode shall be nothing less than greatness.

Peggy is a nickname for Margaret,Peggy = Ms Schroeder. She broke down probably because her family's been thinking that she's been dead for a while now.

For real. I might have to find somewhere to watch it Sunday, instead of waiting til Monday to watch online.
There was definitely a lot going on in this episode, but i still wouldve liked a Chalky scene. At least we learned that hes out on bail now. (word to Tupac)

Rothstein...

Son handles business smoothly (pause)...

Jimmy's starting to realize that its loyalty > politics...

And I think Margaret's maid (the young one) is

Jimmy dun goof'd. Those 2 dudes he killed were linked to very important person. Plus he's split between his real father and the man who raised him (Nucky).

Thanks for explaining, I was wondering why she would be upset if it was her known alias.Seems like this show is getting better with every episode

I need to watch an episode when Angela goes to some bohemian party with another chick at a beach house. Someone keep me updated, thanks.

This Agent Van Alden vs Nucky conflict, especially when you compare their manhood/perceived manhood in the criminal world, is interesting.

Nucky with his chest puffed out after the dinner episode.
laugh.gif
Don't even think we've seen him murk anyone himself yet to date. Meanwhile Alden killed a dude with his bare hands last season.

Also, now that Van Alden knocked up his sidepiece, he's on track to become a father, something Nucky always wanted but does not have after his infant son died.

(Margaret wasn't going to produce another child as we were led to believe last season. Now that they are closer, who knows maybe that will change?)

Must be even more of a painful time for Nucky now that his father/son relationship with Jimmy is seemingly coming apart.

Then we see Nelson's insecurities come out, wondering if he's as good to Lucy /as likeable to her as Nucky was. This Van Alden dude is quite a character.

HBO Renews the show for Season 3

Three weeks into Boardwalk Empire‘s second season, the HBO Prohibition-era drama has been picked up for a third one. This marks another early renewal for the Terence Winter/Martin Scorsese series, which received its second-season order immediately after the series premiere last fall. “Following a triumphant first season, I was eager to see what Terry Winter, Martin Scorsese and the rest of their stellar team had in store, and they continue to surpass our highest expectations,

He's the most interesting character to me next to the ex-sniper.

Ima need soeone to break down the scene with Harrow and the Owens Slater dude.
Obviously Slater is going to do Nuckys dirty work.
Im just a little lost as to what was going on in that scene in terms of whos alcohol was that and who was buying from whom.

I assumed it was Nuckys and Owens went to get it back for him but the dude was content walking away with nothing as long as no sale was made.
I watched it like three times trying to figure it out.

Glad it has already been picked up for Season 3.

Show is very interesting, the plot lines are all so damn good.

The Casino owner was attempting to buy liquor from the Jimmy/Commodore crew (the Sniper is their muscle) as he had threatened to do earlier when dude was collecting Nucky's percentage.
Slater seeing the attempted coup, took it upon himself to stop the transaction and ensure that at least 1 of Nucky's revenue streams remained loyal to him.

Exactly.
Very late to catch up on this episode, Margaret's plot was interesting enough, I don't care much for Nelson and Lucy, but the rest was terrific. A great moment for those who know their organized crime history, but the meeting with Rothstein, Lansky, Luciano, and Masseria, was great if you know Masseria and what happens down the road.

My exact reaction when Slater and Harrow met and drew their guns

So cool, both guys recognized and respected one another. At first I disliked Slater and figured "oh he's just an Irish Furio from the Sopranos", but Furio was pretty bad $## so maybe that's not a bad thing. Harrow might have an equally strong opponent, or perhaps friend down the line.

I think she broke down because her family probably knows she might be alive but they disown her and are telling anyone who ask that that their sister Peggy(Margaret) is dead

Yeah I didn't even think about that angle. Boardwalk Empire is filling in for Curb very nicely so far on Sundays.

I wonder if their gonna show that Dempsey ducked Wills.

It was actually a pretty big story in the boxing world back in the day.
