Boardwalk Empire Season 3 Thread - "Margate Sands" SEASON FINALE

Although, Gyp might recognize something in Richard that he sees in himself. If we recall his speech at the church on Easter, he was angry and wanted to know why he never got what he wanted

:eek

I could def see that, but I can't see Harrow finding a common interest with Gyp
unless Gyp replaces lucky as the ***** house financier(sp?) and they work together to help Gillian and her grandson

1st thing 1st i wish you guys would chill with the spoilers.

put in under the spoilers code or throw some spaces in it.

I can't watch dexter, boardwalk, and walking dead at one time. I was randomly scrolling NT avoiding this thread when "blah blah billy died" came up in the preview because someone replied and mentioned in in the first like 5 words of their sentence.

Go to account and under account details make sure "compact thread list page" is checked. That will remove the last reply on the General page. I understand your frustration, but it's not a spoiler if it's aired for most of us. So having to use the tags seems unnecessary days after the episode aired.

But make sure that's checked and you should be good.

hmm still trying to digest the episode and what to make of the situations going on

As far Nucky goes, it looks like Nucky has no help, and maybe screwed himself holding the meeting in the first place.

Look at it this way: Nucky had this meeting looking for protection, with the interest clearly only being for his safety. He couldn't care less if anyone died in the process, as long as the end result has him alive still. Everyone of those men has had riffs with Nucky, and are aware of who Gyp is, and they don't want to get involved. Or, they can use the meeting as a way to either make an alliance with Gyp, or defend themselves against him on their own time, excluding Nucky to try and protect himself on his own, like the meeting suggested will happen.

Exactly.

Anyone else get dizzy or a headache when they did the cameras/noise for Nucky's concussion? I hate it when writers/producers do that in shows and movies.

Next week's preview made me see like 10 different possible directions.

Possible outcomes could be that when Rothstein snitches to Gyp's boss (forgot his name already) about Nucky planning something, I think Gyp's guy will no longer back Gyp. He even stated this episode that he doesn't want to get involved in his feud. Gyp also may mess up that big order and get himself into trouble. Gyp's boss even said something along the lines of you need to work your way into the business and he's trying to move up the ladder to fast. Gyp is a made up character I don't know how much longer they are going to keep him for. If they got rid of Jimmy they aren't keeping many of these people around.

I feel like Owen has no story and I can see him getting killed off soon instead of his running away tactic. Kind of ironic that the only people Nucky may have is Eli and his butler.

Owen also said that they don't need an army and it's much more simple to take out Gyp then Nucky thinks which ultimately makes me believe that perhaps they get Harrow to handle the dirty work. You can see he's not about that life working for Gillian. Also shout out to Harrow for getting some yambs.

What's Chalky's deal? Why wasn't he at the big meeting?

I think it's official that Capone has taken over the reigns as the head honcho in Chicago. Would have been real cool if he went to the meeting and basically showed everyone that it's his city.

Overall a solid episode.

gyp with the general's hat :lol :hat

And the wendy's commercial girl was that girl in the green at the party.

Gyp a weirdo.

Nuck gotta go dolo. I figure he'll have his payback on Rothstein when Lucky becomes a boss. I kinda like the hinting at things to come with Nucky suggesting they all be partners and abide by rules since we know that ends up happening with the mob with Lucy, Al, etc.

Harrow :hat They building him up for tragedy though. Tommy :lol

:lol Gyp the God :smokin

His homeboy's reaction when he saw the hat :lol

Nucky's back is up against the wall. Time to call up Harrow so he can put in work 8)

I'm thinking he'll either ask Chalky for that black army support or get that Irish army support or he'll get lucky in this fight with some unsuspected help.

that episode didnt do it for me, I was expecting so much, the way Nucky acted the whole episode really annoyed me, I've never had to interact with someone that's had a concussion before though so maybe that's why

I feel it was similar to the eps where Nucky was hallucinating or had a weird dream. They just took it further showing the blurred vision. Concussions are serious, especially when you don't rest. Takes a few days to recover from. Interacting with a person like that can range from them coming off senile like Nuck a bit in this ep or them seeming drunk.

It'd be funny if the underlying twist and reveal is that he has had syphilis this whole time :lol

Tonight could have been the moment I jumped back into the empty Margaret Band Wagon and wave the Ride or Die flag when she was in on the little meeting and bathroom scene.

I thought after hearing what Nuck goes through and has to do to keep up their lifestyle, she'd be down until she went to Slater on some, "We out this b_ first chance we get!!!"

I've finally put her file in the Kill'em Pile, replacing Van Alden's file.
