i think youre drinking the jesse kool aid if u think this whole "no hurting kids" is not about that little boy that he left behind at the tweekers house and his guilt over that and later events. jesse is just suffering from cognitive dissonance and feels he is rectifying his mistakes. make no mistake, this is not altruism its self-escapism.The show is about change... the good guys become the bad guys and and bad guys become the good guys... nothing stays the same.
If people cant see this they're either dumb or not paying any attention.
Look at Skyler... In the beginning she wanted to get away from Walt at all costs.... but now shes sticking it out with him through the end.
There is no definitive hero in this show... not Walt the kingpin... not Jesse the dealer....not Hank the Cop.... everyone has negative and positive quality's, just like real life. Jesse stands out though because while everyone else is fine with compromising their morals and "breaking bad" Jesse is now "breaking good".
