You guys are just making stuff up.
You can't take any liquids bigger than 3oz except in unusual circumstances - and you have to declare it.
It doesn't matter if you have a prescription - you are only allowed what is reasonable for the length of the flight. People like diabetics need a note andthey can carry enough insulin etc - but if they turned up with a gallon of insulin that would probably be rejected.
You can put what you like in your luggage in the hold though.
