i swear, taylor swift is STILL dominating.
pimp.gif

I guess Eminem doesnt have the highest selling album of 09..

atleast he has the highest selling hip-hop album..

laugh.gif
at Birdman

pimp.gif
for owl city still being on top 50

damn...i though RiRi and GaGa was gonna sell ALOT more than that???
sick.gif
@ Shakira's first week numbers...she should of stayed in her lane and cut that dance!@*$ out

How does Gaga have two of the same albums chart like that?

34 7 LADY GAGA INTERSCOPE 144,622 +398%

FAME

A 400% increase in one week? Ridiculous.

Susan Boyle making a mark I see. I thought Rhianna's numbers would be better than that.

59K?? Well here's where things go from bad to worse for all you 50 Cent fans out there. Just goes to show that all good things must come to an end. Ican't believe some of you dudes thought those early reports saying that he would sell another 100K this week were true, you dudes really fell for thebanana in the tailpipe on that one.

"Soundscan going down, your better off selling 'em now out your trunk trunk trunk"

Y'all are laughing at Birdman and he's laughing at you all the way to the bank.

Why?

Because you're looking at CD sales, in 2009, and acting like it's the sole determination of the success of a project.

Look at the chart. Where's the Hip Hop? Not there with the exception of the Hip POP stars.

Why?

Because the real money in Hip Hop is in ringtones and downloads. And I would imagine Baby and Jay Sean are doing just fine in both categories. Jay Sean is 2singles deep. It's taken Gaga like 5 singles to move major units.

Y'all act like y'all know somethin'. I BEEN saying that you should post the download/ringtone charts on here instead of album sales. Especially ifyou're going to comment on anything Hip Hop related.

Don't be surprised at Susan Boyle's numbers.

90% of her fans don't know what an iTunes is.

its not just 50, the whole music industry is hurting
smh.gif

and Susan Boyle wouldnt be popular if she wasnt so damn ugly

The Fame Monster (Deluxe Edition) is packaged with The Fame. It counts as an album sale for that as well.

It's taken Gaga like 5 singles to move major units.
Son, it went Diamond internationally.

At dude who said Birdman was doing 200k in that thread.

Agreed. How many 50+ year old's you know that are computer literate?

Watch. I bet you 50 gets Susan Boyle on the remix to "Do You think about me" for the video, just to raise his numbers

Yeah, because she wasn't popular even before moving 700,000 units in the first week.

He does have a point. No one would have cared if she was attractive because we've been conditioned to think that way. When this"ugly" person (she is though) opened her mouth and that melodic tune came out the world fell in love with her because a beast created something sobeautiful.

Son, You can't even GO "diamond internationally". Those certifications are given out PER TERRITORY. Why would you act like you know what the #@#+you're talking about when you don't? Because you're on Niketalk of course.....

It's done 1.6 Mil in America. You think it's done 8.4 internationally? When America has the highest sales base of any territory in the world andshe's an American artist?

#@#+ is wrong with you?

Album is over a year old and it took 5 singles to get where it is. That was my point. I have no idea what you're point was, but it was all sorts of wrongeither way.

Are Rihanna first week numbers? Hmmm...
ohwell.gif

Rated R will probably end up being a "cult classic" unless she plans on rereleasing. I liked that album though.

at you going off on him.

Yeah, sales certifications are different in every country. No such thing as going "diamond" worldwide.

*hugs Lazy B*

exactly. if she was an attractive young girl I bet no one would care for her. she'd just be another pretty girl who could sing.
