That pic is from 1998 indeed.  He literally pulled those I's outta his stock and they were a size 12.  The XIII's were there to back him up in case he got uncomfortable.

I could be wrong, but I remember Ahmad Rashad reporting that during the game.
 
back in the early 90's when rock was still dope (grunge FTW, everything else has pretty much sucked since then imo)...
