CLIPPERS vs LAKERS game thread 10/29

Fisher to Gasol for the and 1

I'm disappointed in two teams tonight: the Heat and the Clips.

At least the Heat fought back.

But there's no excuse for the Clippers to come out this flat in their home opener against a team playing their second game in 2 nights.

Clips are acting like the Lakers came in with a 62-19 record. Smdh.

Oh, and Laker fans gonna continue with that MVP chant huh?

I definitely think Farmar will be an All Star.

Who said he'll stay in the Western Conference?

Sure, it pains me to think about him leaving, because Fisher's only getting older, and Farmar taking over full-time at the 1 sounds nice, but reality is reality. Dudes never stay loyal like that.

In recent history, who has been ushered into a full-time spot, and stayed with that team for a considerable amount of time? Nobody does that in sports anymore, and definitely not in the NBA.

I say 3 years from now, Farmar is an Eastern Conference All Star, for the first of many times.
No faith in Mitch Kupchak & The Buss family Ska ?

I guess after Mitch pulled off the Gasol trade and getting Ariza early last season some Laker fans still dont trust him.

Oh, no, no, no; it's not that at all.

Trust me, I give all the credit in the world to Kupchak right now. We have exactly what Kobe wanted (and of course, what us fans wanted): a team that willcontend for a championship every year. We have that team, and it was built by Mitch, so I definitely believe in his ability. How can I not right now?

I'm just talking about sports. I'd like it... I'd LOVE it if Farmar stays with us for the next 10 years. I just have my doubts about it happening, because of the infrequency of athlete/team loyalty.

And honestly, the fact that he's from L.A. gives me more reason to believe he'd leave. Sure, for a littlewhile, a few years, it's like 'Yeah! I grew up here, playing for my team, the team I grew up watching; I love it!' But then it eventually becomes'Yeah, I grew up here. I wonder what it's like in Boston, or Orlando, or Cleveland. LeBron's pretty damn good.* Or maybe try out Detroit.'

*I guess since I'm talking about 'in a few years', I should say Brooklyn in place of Cleveland.
