What does this even mean? How was it a slap in the face?
Term sheet to a reasonable deal was submitted in December.
There are two sides for this for sure, there's room for critical analysis of Libby and the city's role in this but if we're gonna be real, let's be real.
Let's not throw around emotional jargon, let's talk facts, figure and history.

I am not a Raider fan, but agree wholeheartedly with @Oakland . If anything, its the people who have your opinion that are the ones being emotional, not the other way around. Libby has a lot of fault in this, and her last ditch effort to try to keep the Raiders here had everything to do with her saving face and trying to make people believe she actually tried her hardest to keep them here.What does this even mean? I didn't vote for Libby and I probably won't come reelection.

When she took office Mark was hell bent on Carson. When that fell through he was hell bent on LV. Mark met with her two times in two years, and that was at the request of the NFL, so to put it on Libby when Mark never even made that attempt is BS.

All Libby was doing the last couple months was saying how she wasn't gonna tax the people in order to keep Oakland.
Last 2-3 days; she has a new plan, deal, etc

I love this city. I do. And I'm very objective. But to me she knows, you know, @NorthOaklandFC knows that the door should have been closed and kept closed.

People like you are naive and think that if the city had tried just a little but harder a deal would have got done.
Fact is a very reasonable plan which I've read and understand was submitted in December. That can't be ignored.

The plan that she came up with this past weekend is the plan she presented two months ago with some slight changes (apparently).

Exactly. If anything, Mark made it hard for Libby to even give it a chance. Mark didn't want to be in Oakland anymore. That's where it starts...Libby walked into this situation but got no help from Mark.

My only issue with that statement is people seem to forget her publicly writing mark off multiple times in the media telling them that she has more important issues in the city to worry about this was well .
My problem is your focus was on those other things while also not trying to work with mark and or meet and those other things were not being solved or addressed.
Jean Quan started the process of trying to work with al on a stadium solution before his death Libby dropped the ball big time and Mark Davis def didnt help.

Might have or might not have been me...i still think this is a short sighted vision that they will regret. Yeah, owners will get cashed out now...and for all them old ***** thats prolly all that matters before they kick the curb. It's still a horrible deal imo.

Libby was in a lose/lose. She either tries (and gets voted hell no) to drop public money or try what she did which the NFL didn't want, because it wasn't free money.
Her plan, imo, was a suitable solution. But you can't compete with free money. $950M at that...
