COMING 2 AMERICA PART 2 IN THE WORKS

I don't know ballerific in here looking like he coming for the title.

Life is a comedy, I’m dying that whole movie.

Coming to America I’m laughing a handful of times. Story is cool but it’s not as funny as people say. Not a top 5 Eddie movie.

Eddie 0-2 since his comeback. Might want to rethink his return to standup.

But Eddie and Hart is no comparison. Kevin will never be anywhere near Eddie. His short little guy jokes get old real fast.

Never said Above the Rim was a comedy. I said I laugh more watching that than Coming to America.

Oh ya'll wylin wylin in here. Got me digging in my memory banks trying to remember how Above the Rim was a comedy.
Yo I aint even want to say anything.

I'm like was that a joke? Or is he trying to say he found more funny things in a drama than C2A?

Or is this guy just some sick **** laughing at ppl falling to their deaths and getting shot?

off the top of my head, he has been funny in 2 movies

40 year old virgin.. and 1st jumanji

dude like the black jack black to me
That's just what I was gonna reply with if anyone questioned me.

The only classic comedy I know Hart was in was 40 year old Virgin and one of the few times I found him funny.

He barely has a single comedy that he starred in that was good.

Kevin Hart probably not in the top 15/top 20 of black comedian movies.
1st jumanji
Oh and let me not talk about this cuz The Rock don't even make good action or comedy movies like that so the idea of a movie starring The Rock and Kevin Hart had me worried but it turned out good.

i don’t get it.. everything he does is what I don’t like about jack black or even Ben stiller

but Ben stiller got classics.. but with all of em, just seems like theyre trying way too hard

and if they turn things down a bit they could be funny, I guess

Didn’t really like the OG one tho so...

Most of Eddie's classics are on Prime video for anyone who hasnt seen em.

Harlem Nights
Trading Places
Vampire in Brooklyn
Life
48 hrs/Another 48hrs
Boomerang
BVH Cop 1/2
Raw

No love for Trading Places??

Thats one of my favorite comedies all time.
Anyone catch the Trading Places nod when Lavelle went to the interview?

Harlem Nights vs Coming To America is a tough one, but I’ll go with Harlem Nights, movie was legendary for many reasons.

I watched a review by Jeremy Jahns and he made me think about a couple things.

The movie was never gonna reach expectations because of cancel culture.

Thats why they had to over explain every joke.

Like the creepy sexist preacher?

Couldn't let that rock without explaining its a joke in 2021.

We're probably done with good comedies for a while unless it's stand up.

I disagree.. I think the same sort of excuses are used when terrible Batman or Superman movies fail

theyre just bad movies.. just because MCU makes better movies and succeeds and then other movies fail, doesn’t mean there is super hero fatigue

i think the OG film could still happen today with some tweaks.. because at the end of the day that film is making fun of the ignorance Americans have for the rest of the world, which still exist.. but they would have to adjust the whole light skin vs dark skin sisters thing

I mean the recent borat movie was hilarious.. or on a smaller scale, Palm Springs was hilarious which was just another take on Groundhog Day
