CUSTOM SILVER ANNIVERSARY 11's

Those Concords are simply spectacular. Great job.
And I love how you've added little "shines" on one of the photos. You can't tell me those occurred naturally from the sun light. Or did it... ?

The ONLY shoes I would consider doing this to are the Columbia XI's and the Anniversary XI's. I do understand how it feels when your soles start to yellow though, but I wouldnt change a classic.

Amazingly enough I didn't even notice those until you mentioned it. Those are actually pretty cool looking. So yes, those "shines" are completely natural. I had the sun right behind me as I took the pics.
Thanks for all the comments guys. I definitely took my time with these as I didn't want to mess anything up with them since they are a pretty special pair of sneakers.

airpeters01 - Great job man. Any pictures of them after you did 1 coat? I might try this on my concords, but I want it to be very subtle.

I don't have pics after doing 1 coat but honestly not much changed after applying the 2nd coat. I don't think they really got darker or anything with the 2nd coat. If anything it just gave the soles a cleaner finish filling in any areas that didn't absorb the seaglow/RIT dye.

Any way, I have a few DS pair of 11s, Foams and 16s. If I Sea Glow my DS Foams, 11s, etc., will this slow the process of the soles yellowing?

I know shoes are meant to be worn and they'll yellow eventually, but I'd like to prevent it as best as possible.

Another question I just thought of. How will the soles feel after using Sea Glow? I read they become a little slipper on slick surfaces like concrete, wood, etc. This true?

Long post, sorry!! All help appreciated in advance. Thanks.

I had this Very Same Idea..  I'll post pics once Im done

What's up NT, haven't posted in a while but I thought I'd share these. I first saw this thread a while ago, and I finally got some free time to try it out on some of my kicks. So far, I've only seen people try this out on SJ's, Anni's, and Concords, so I decided to try something different. How about DMP's? What do u guys think? I also did some Concords as well, I'll post those pics right after these.

I only put one coat on the DMP's in the pics above, and I put 2 coats on the Concords here, but the DMP's still have a stronger blue color. It's probably because the DMP's are only 4 years old, whereas these Concords are 10 years old, so the soles on the Concords were a little cloudier when I started. The DMP's still had really clear soles when I added the dye. Here are the Concords:

They don't yellow, they turn a deep dirty looking blue. Not quite green though.
Actually mine are like a dirty yellow or brown.

^That is a tremendous question...I, however, am NOT afraid to experiment with with those XI lows..I'll try to get that done over the long weekend!
