No it definitely didnt.

I just don't care about your complaining about you thinking osh is the only other person knowledgeable about housing economics and you think that he would agree with you about what Dave is doing. Also your continued assumption that this is more about taking sides with Dave or not instead of any given topic.

But sure tell yourself differently and post

Like I said before it won't change how I reply.
Yeah like I thought, it went over your head :lol

Dave strikes me as a classic big city older nimby progressive.
the type to march against tearing down homeless encampments.

but refuse to allow a homeless shelter to be built because it's not a 100% affordable, anarcho syndicalist collective.

A lot of older progressives have sincerely deluded themselves into thinking NIMBYism
is the scruffy proletariat battling against evil capital.

when in reality they are rent seeking capital looking to lock in inherited lottery winnings.

it's really important to call this **** out, if you want to be self interested capitalist, fine...
but don't try and dress it up it happy progressive talk.
you aren't leading the revolution, you are literally no better than the "greedy developers"

I mean if you watched his Netflix specials it was apparent when he referenced his Porsche

Same with these celebrities talking about climate change but traveling in private jets instead of commercial ones

Macy Gray says "I will respect your pronouns but I think female biology is an important part of being a woman"

Rolling Stone; "this hateful statement will lead to murder."

You can set your watch to this, say the any anodyne statement about this issue
and you're accused of foamenting a trans holocaust.

and people have decided that JK Rowling is the David duke of our time
for totally unclear reasons

and nobody asks themselves is it helpful to trans people to signal boost the idea
that violent murderer is around every corner for them in america?

Probably because it’s a dumb question.

i dunno if I thought of myself as an ally to trans people and I wanted to help them

I would think hard before telling a vulnerable population with a lots of mental health co-morbidities

that they will be indiscriminately murdered
based on fake statistics or stand up comedy specials I don't like

is actually helpful.
but maybe im weird.

It's this awkward obsession with portraying as much "victomhood" as possible or whatever you want to call it

Ive argued plenty of times about other people's comparison of white trans people treatment to "Racism" as opposed to other forms of discrimination but they always resort to "Racism"

People really make this shh harder than it needs to be.. let people do them and have a little bit of respect for other people

loved it.

What's in a Name really cut to the core of this entire controversy.
and personally why I care, it really doesn't have much to do with Dave,

it really is about art for me

imo this attitude that prominent media and culture critics have chosen to adopt
is an assault on artistic expression, and totally corrosive to the project of producing good art
and the culture is quite a bit greyer as a result.

like I said, imo I think time is going to vindicate Dave on all of this.
people are going to be totally baffled by the reaction,

and his loudest critics will look like absurd puritans.

just wait on it.

Dave Chappelle is a rich Black man who chooses to live in Ohio, of all places.

I don't think he cares anything or anyone but himself.

"the theatre for artistic freedom & expression"

OMG its so petty i love it

he just shoved it in all the faces of students who were angered that it might use his name

Word?

Rich Black Man that only cares about himself?

Are you talking about the guy who walked away from millions and millions of dollars based on his principles or you know another guy named Dave Chappelle?

You certainly cant be talking about this guy...

Dave Chappelle Reportedly Donating All Proceeds From Buffalo Show To Shooting Victims & Families

Comedian Dave Chappelle reportedly booked a last-minute show at Shea’s Performing Arts Center in Buffalo, NY. He did so, according to a spokesman for the venue and posts on social media from those who there there, to honor the families of the 10 who were killed and three who were wounded last month when a teen staged what police deem a racially-motivated attack at a Buffalo supermarket last month.

“He said, and I’m paraphrasing, ‘I came here to Buffalo to recognize the victims and for these families,'” recalled Shea’s director of marketing and communications Kevin Sweeney.

Chappelle also told those attending that some of the victims’ families were in the audience and that he was donating all proceeds from the show to them.

The comedian booked his appearance at the 3,000-plus-seat arena just four days prior, and tickets promptly sold out.

Chappelle had his own run-in with public violence last month when a man allegedly armed with a knife stormed the stage at the Hollywood Bowl and attempted to tackle the comedian.

Everyone is entitled to their own opinions but you gotta realize our opinions reflect on us...not the object of our opinions.

There's actually a higher percentage of Black Folks in Ohio than California.

The funny thing is that wasn’t even a “special”. That was just a speech. I wonder if they count these towards his contract.
