I go to drag bingo with a group of friends the first Monday of every month. There is usually one queen that MCs the event telling jokes and there are two breaks for the queen to lip sync two song performances. Never been to a full-on show but what I’ve seen is pretty tame and what I would assume people would call “family/kid friendly drag”.
Drag really ain’t that different than cosplaying. Folks wear a costume and are able to act as a character they wouldn’t normally be able to in their everyday lives.
