Oh, it doesn't get a pass. At all.
But it just seems like there was more outrage with IM3, when they basically did the dame thing with some of these other movies.

There is still a difference. XMen films practically started the popularity of the genre in this generation, there were plenty of complaints back then too but not as big as IM3 because it was one of the first ones. There wasn't a standard set yet and we would have never known that an Avengers film was even possible back then. I remember the black leather suits getting crap for sure back then.
IM3 just made a disgrace out of IMs nemesis and considering it followed the Avengers and the film was more about Stark than actually Iron Man, even the ending was underwhelming with Potts saving Stark.
It should also be understandable that a film that came out this year will get more flack here than a film that came out 13 years ago. I mean look at the thread, majority hates the X-series now and felt it doesn't stand the test of time.

New wolverine movie was buns, the movie before that was trash, all the xmen movies before that was garbage, meh, and mega trash and yawn........ Not expecting much from this.

why is dude whos doing avengers still going with quicksilver? he cant even use the name quicksilver right?
even though he had plans already to have quick silver and his sister id drop them if i were him considering quicksilver will be in dofp
that avengers lineup already full as is.
dofp is looking like its just going to be a total mess with all them characters
never knew the guy who plays beast is the same guy who did warm bodies and jack the giant slayer.
