Why is it wolverine and mystique though? I mean I feel like I know the reason already but still...

The trailer looks good. The 70s part looks like it'll be fine.

The future part looks like it'll be **** though. Fortunately it'll also probably be tacked on to the beginning so it won't matter too much

Looks like Magneto is destroying RFK stadium in one of the clips. So the movie does have that going for it.

:rolleyes suprised they dont have magneto controlling people through the iron in their blood
like i REALLY wanna like this movie but i really feel it will be bad

bummed there's still no gambit on the big screen

Aside from wolverine, he was always a favorite from the 90's cartoon :lol

on a side note... ms. Lawrence... :evil

They shouldve done a real X-Men First class without wolverine included at least first two films maybe the x force movies will be better done...

Why is the next Xmen movie taking place during the 80's?

Because First Class was set in the 70s and the premise of the film is to go back in time?

Keep in mind that this film wasn't planned when they made First Class.

I just assumed they were going back to the future with Patrick Stewart and the gang for some reason...

The trailer cured a little bit of my skepticism. I of course was going to give it the midnight release viewing as I do all Marvel films but Singer is walking a tightrope right now

Why did they bring Singer back?

Was it because they could depend on him to deliver at least acceptable work (based on the first/second X-Men movies)?

Believe it or not, Fox is pretty happy with his work with the franchise. He was suppose to do X3 but had to drop out to film SR and then he became a producer for First Class (uncredited producer for origins too though). Overall, crap or not, all those movies made money. Not Avengers money but they all have been successful so yeah... It'll take a huge catastrophic box office flop (which is not likely) for Singer to be kicked out of the Apocalypse film.

I knew all those lame set photos and 8 second trailers in IG was just a setup for something massive. I absolutely can't wait. Almost went into work late today because I wanted to GIF a bunch of the scenes for my tumblr. :lol

Just some random thoughts:
1. Even though there have been some bad X-Men films, Singer has done two of the best ones, and I really think he has chops to pull this off. I'm still angry at how he treated Cyclops (my favorite X-Men character), but whatever.
2. I actually love the future sentinels. It reminds me a lot of the robots in A.I. (which isn't necessarily a good thing), but given the powers of mutants, it seems that having them as a series of malleable metal plates works. I'm actually more interested to see how the 70's Sentinels fight considering how fragile they look.
3. Love the inclusion of new mutants. Blink, Bishop, Sunspot, etc... Can't wait to see their fight scenes.
4. Iceman finally using the ice ramp. :hat
5. From a cinematic standpoint, I can't wait to see how Singer balances the bright "flowery" 70's look with the dystopian future. Seeing the trailer was just a feast for the senses.

There's so much more I could write, and I know there a lot of negatives I'm looking past, but the kid in me can't wait for this. After being so disappointed by TDKR and MoS, I really hope this doesn't disappoint.
