I think niketalk is alot bigger than we give it credit forMeth, how is Fox even aware of us, or this thread specifically?
And when you say 5th time, you mean just in this thread, or Fox has complained about 5 different threads relating to their movies?
NT should boycott DoFP
It's also happened regarding the "Wolverine" movie that is or was in production recently. If everyone was in here hyping the movie they wouldn't have a problem. Didn't this same thing happen in the TMNT thread last year?
Huddler does a good job of SEO. I imagine that when their goons search for film titles we do come up eventually.Meth, how is Fox even aware of us, or this thread specifically?

And most studios understand that. It's usually considered a positive if a fan is going around discussing your movie or sharing images/trailers. Someone at Fox's "legal group" apparently doesn't see it that way, so we may have to preemptively close certain threads if we believe that it's just going to create a risk for our community.People are probably going to post images and material without thinking about it. Even if you put a warning on the OP or sticky it to the top of general.
I wouldn't if its in the OP or thread titlePeople are probably going to post images and material without thinking about it. Even if you put a warning on the OP or sticky it to the top of general.
I meant that it's probably just better to close the thread in this case. People will probably post stuff in here even after this. Better to just avoid the risk. It's not like it'll be a huge loss given what we've seen from this movie so farPeople are probably going to post images and material without thinking about it. Even if you put a warning on the OP or sticky it to the top of general.

Can we counter-sue them for X-Men 3?

i believe it would be a let down to shut down the threads
especially if its as ludicrous as u say
ESPECIALLY if we are abiding by the rules of conduct
Users aren't permitted to upload copyrighted images. Whenever you use the uploader, you have to check a box specifically indicating that you're NOT going to violate somebody's copyrights.
Clearly there is an issue here, as users are posting images indiscriminately and leaked images in particular are going to result in our staff receiving a legal threat.
Now, if this were a rare occurrence, we could deal with the cleanup. Twentieth Century Fox, however, has become so needlessly and gratuitously litigious of late that it's just not worth it. Why reward them with free publicity when they're constantly threatening us - and when these threats are, at times, utterly ridiculous?
It's like if the NBA started harassing us every time a user posted a screenshot of an NBA game without the express written consent of the league. It's bad for their business and ours.
To keep it going, you guys would have to help us make sure that no copyrighted videos or images are being uploaded to our servers. It's a violation of our Terms of Service and the studio's copyrights.
They have no right to complain about your speech or opinions - and they haven't.Ok, in this sense, how do we know and check what is "ok" and what is not?To keep it going, you guys would have to help us make sure that no copyrighted videos or images are being uploaded to our servers. Like, we post the movie preview from youtube, I assume that's ok.
If we have a picture from google of Halle Berry on set, is that ok to post, or is that copyrighted?
Is it simply the matter of vids/pics, or is it us speaking negatively about a film that's not yet out that's pissing them off?
Or like us complaining about Wolverine being the one that travels thru time to the past, whereas the origin in the comic books it was not him, is that what they are saying we are stepping on their toes about?
