DC Studios THREAD - GunnVerse Begins - The Penguin out 9/19 then every Sunday on MAX

I love Batman's alternate timeline/Elseworld's stories. Gotham by Gaslight is a classic, IMO. I even really liked the Flashpoint Paradox where Thomas Wayne became Bats. If anyone can put me on some other similar Batman storylines I'm willing to check them out.

Not Batman oriented but Kingdom Come is hands down my favorite. It does have an awesome but old Batman in it that has an armor and his own army of Bat Sentry's to control Gotham. Red Son is more Superman oriented but it also has a cool version of Batman.

For a more Batman oriented elseworld story TDKR is a given, Holy Terror and The Doom That Came To Gotham. Oh and I, Joker, I think that ones kind of interesting. I've heard good things about Thrillkiller but haven't read that one.

So it's safe to say this is seasoned vet batman here right?
If it's Frank Miller's then yea. In an interview he said when he got the project he was in his late twenties, realized he was almost Batman's age...said he couldn't have that so he made Batman in his old lol.

And supposedly still an urban legend.

This Bats also differs from Bale as in this one is still secretive with his vigilante ways while Bales is more "showy", supposedly.

I wouldn't say that, Bats is still better at 50 than most other heroes ever depicted out there and I think he'll show that in this film.

So if he is more secretive and this 30 years out crap then he been fighting Joker, riddler and etc all quietly without them making noise and him showing up?

Or you could interpret it that he's been out for so long that people mythologize Batman into this folkloric figure. I think that's what happens in Frank Miller's version---his villains, mainly Joker, thrived off Batman's presence. You couldn't have one without the other and when the Dark Knight vamoosed Joker lost interest in causing chaos and became catatonic in Arkham

Yah in TDKR he was gone and then returned hence Dark Knight Returns :lol but in this one he has been active. Again this are just rumors again but he is suppose to be still in tip-top condition even for his age and have been doing the Batman thing for 30 years, he just doesn't reveal himself to the public, again an urban legend. He can still beat on all the baddies in secret and most people may believe he exist but not many has seen him in the flesh outside of the criminals who are sent to Arkham anyways and can be thought of as insane?

Keep in mind that a few months ago the rumor was that Bats has bat-bots like the Bat Sentries in Kingdom Come keeping Gotham in peace by monitoring and taking care of crimes so you really have to take these things with a grain of salt.

More rumors and again, grain of salt...

* “Aquaman” is indeed in the film and there was some sort of film test on a water set recently. The character has a very small role in the BvS.

* The car chase scenes that will take place this coming weekend will not, most likely, include the Batmobile. Those pics online of Ben Affleck (sporting very gray hair on his temples) as Bruce Wayne involve a scene in the film where he’s saving people after some sort of attack on Metropolis which causes a lot of destruction.

* There’s a very “anti-Superman” theme to the film which includes people marching in protest against him.

Again if true, looks like Aquaman will be a cameo and looks like Supes is getting the repercussion of Metropolis' destruction, possibly due to Lex's help?

The source, Batman on FIlm, has been up and down with their reports. They aren't always accurate.

If they're already filming now, will it really take two whole years to finish up the movie?
