could be, when the police chief was speaking about masks at first i thought bats but he probably doesn't exist in this timeline yet or maybe he does and it'll be more of an easter but it could also make sense is young bruce and this joker becomes the inspiration for leto's (assuming they want to connect the universe in the future)

I don’t really care if Joaquin comes back to reprise the role or not. With DC I don’t really care about a shared universe anymore since they announced their plan. I just want to be entertained for the 2+ hours I’m there. Give me that and I’m good.
