Two people were hurt and two others arrested after a fight broke out outside of the Modells Sporting Goods store at Woodhaven Boulevard and Rockaway Boulevard in Ozone Park.
The fight erupted in the pre-dawn hours of Saturday morning, July 21, as the suspects and the victims’ waited on a line outside the store to purchase Air Jordan sneakers that were being released that day.

The NYPD said the fight was triggered by an argument over the suspects’ and the victims’ places in the line outside the store. The argument turned physical and the suspects allegedly struck the two victims with metal chairs that had been set up outside. The two victims were taken to the hospital while the two suspects, a 25-year-old man and a 16-year-old youth, were taken into custody by officers from the 106th Precinct and charged with felony assault.
The store opened at midnight on Friday night to begin selling the sneakers, but customers had been lined up outside the store as early as 6 p.m. An officer from the 106th Precinct said the store had no private security on the site and had not notified the precinct of the potential crowd.

People said that about the IV's, XII's and VI's and I thought those ran almost TTS. These absolutely run huge smh.
Even with my sneaker shields it felt like I was wearing a boot. :smh:

lmao they are TTS..

Of all of the shoes to drop this year, I did not expect these to be such a popular shoe on the resell market. I've always had trouble finding 2004s in my size, but now that I finally see people letting go of theirs, they're shooting well over the $300 mark. This colorway is now on backburner status for me.

I didn't expect this retro to do this well AT ALL. Makes me even more happy that I got my 04 pair for the low just in time, lol.

That's exactly how my Bordeaux's fit and feel, even with the sneaker shields as well.

Where as my '02 Black/Red and French Blue's fit like a glove.

This has major lawsuit written all over it. The two victims will sue Moes and the property owner (if it's a leased building) because of a lack of security.
Additionally, Nike will also be sued because they are Nike.

Incidentally, when the hell did Modells start selling Jordan releases?
