Did anyone ever cut the straps on their 8's?

theres some pics floating around with some chrome 8's strapless,
from what i heard dude took shoes to professional type thing and got the straps removed..
doesn't look good for people that think about doing it

i would never cut the straps from my jordan VIII's, thats just inhumane lol.that's what its madefor, to give your foot some support. i've seen someone alil while back on ebay seiing their used VIII's with the straps cut off.i cringed when i sawthat....it looked horrible...why would anyone spend that type of money and then mutilate a perfectly nice sneaker like that? a damm shame
