NT,
As much as I agree with statements in regards to "youngin's" you have to take into consideration that WE all started somewhere. Most of us wereconsidered "youngin's" when we were clueless in discussion(s) of the following NBA greats:
http://www.nba.com/history/abduljabbar_bio.htmlKareem Abdul-Jabbar
http://www.nba.com/history/baylor_bio.htmlElginBaylor
http://www.nba.com/history/chamberlain_bio.htmlWilt Chamberlain
http://www.nba.com/history/erving_bio.htmlJuliusErving
http://www.nba.com/history/frazier_bio.htmlWaltFrazier
http://www.nba.com/history/gervin_bio.htmlGeorgeGervin
http://www.nba.com/history/mjohnson_bio.htmlMagicJohnson
http://www.nba.com/history/mmalone_bio.htmlMoses Malone
http://www.nba.com/history/maravich_bio.htmlPeteMaravich
http://www.nba.com/history/robertson_bio.htmlOscar Robertson
http://www.nba.com/history/west_bio.htmlJerry West

I remember my uncle attempting to have an NBA conversation with me in reference to many of the previously mentioned names. I was clueless! I only wanted tospeak about Michael Jordan, John Stockton, Karl Malone, David Robinson, Charles Barkley and Scottie Pippen. My uncle took the time to educate me about these NBA greats. Because my uncle took the time and made an effort to educate me on these past players, I am ableto have a better appreciation for the current players. Michael Jordan may be the Greatest Of All Time. However, WE will have to educate the"youngin's" on who Michael Jordan was.

I agree on your opinion about educating the youngsters.

But this matter is not the matter of Kareem, Elgin, or Dr. J.

It's the matter of KOBE BRYANT, current active player who's now the leading NBA MVP candidates for this season.

1. Thread starter probably is not a big fan of NBA.

2. Thread starter probably is 8 years old, which explains why he/she didn't know about it.
