DISNEYLAND/DISNEYWORLD APPRECIATION!!! PUT IN UR ORDER FOR AN NT DISNEY SPIRIT JERSEY NOW!!!

imma read that later because ive been wanting to go to a disney cruise while pricey, they do seem to do it better than others and has less price gouging (might be going to a non disney cruise later and looking at soda packages as its not included and that sh*t was like $20 per day and everyone in the room has to get one so for two in a 7day trip is $280 plus tip while its included in the disney cruise)

anyways, attended the oogie boogie bash last night and its cool as usual but weird being held in august and sweating my *ss off

we got to dine at carthay before the events, food is always good there

not much new this time around but hades and his effect where he changes colors to match the environment was cool, the villain in finea and ferb (never saw the show so no clue who it was) was good for the acting alone

also unfortunate we got stuck at racers ride but i always found it awesome to walk through the attraction with the full lights on

and as always, a bagful of candies, enough to save as a giveaway for trick or treaters but unfortunately halloween is still more than 2 months away

I heard they were using scoopers this time to hand out candy this year. That true? rfx45 rfx45

i didnt see it, just the usual super generous handful of candies

i always bring a packable backpack just because that tiny bag they give you is usually full after a couple of treat trails

That racers ride looks awesome, my son would love that. All about pixar cars now.

Maybe rules have changed but last time on Royal Caribbean cruise we only bought one soda package. We'd just ask for a drink at a bar and then walk away to another bar to get another drink lol.
For alcohol packages, I think everyone in the room had to have one, but I heard some people were able to get exemptions and just stated they didn't drink alcohol.

For Disney cruises, you can youtube a lot of reviews and tours of ships from travel vloggers. They are pretty detailed and give you a good idea of what to expect. Also there are travel agencies that specialize in Disney vacations so they know all the ins and outs (I'm sure you guys knew that, but it was new news to me lol)

I came to the decision it’s been a good run. The only way my family can get to go using the keys is with the Inspire key.

I haven’t even looked to see what this years price increase are going to be. But my boys are now 10 & 11 and want to try other things. I get that ping monthly that my payment of 533 has been taken and I’m thinking that money is better spent on other vacations, their college funds, and generally everything else that has risen outrageously in price over the last 4 years. Plus we travel so there is room and food. I’m over it.

And the crowds are insane and people there are not as nice as they were when Covid was lifted and everyone was happy to be out. The guests and cast members have been pretty rude lately. I can’t count the number of times guests want to split through my wife and I as we walk next to each other holding hands. Where there was obviously a much larger space to walk around us than the 2-3 inches between us. If we aren’t having fun it’s not worth it.

Disney wont care we didn’t renew but I think I can handle it mentally on the pocket just walking away from the greed.

That's disrespectful as hell man. People as a whole have low spacial awareness/courtesy. It's annoying to see.

If it’s a kids we brush it off. No harm no foul. But I’m talking grownass adults. Nothing like having fat 300+ lb man just split right through you while he looks straight ahead. We try the red rover approach but it doesn’t always work. We bounced some twenty-something yo lady back about 2-3 feet and she freaked out on us. I give a shrug and kept moving. I’m a descent sized man, 6-1, and can hold my own but my wife is smaller and she gets “rag-dolled.”

Overall the “Magic” just inst there anymore. No disrespect to those who want to keep going and enjoying. But at ~$7k annual in just tickets alone. I think I should put that money to use for me elsewhere.

I will miss getting new legacy sabers. But I have enough for a lifetime.

And we can still always go. Yeah ticket prices may be higher but over yearly cost is way down. With travel, food, room it’s prob over 20k/yr. Not a good use of money in this economy. Leave the Key Life for those who live closer.

long and tiring but always fun weekend done

this me being washed complaining but these weekend half marathon events kind of unfair to locals, events start at 5am so i had to wake up at 2, leave by 3 and get in the parks by 4 and there still a long line whether by check in or long traffic to get in the parking lot (didnt help that i saw hamiltons opening on wednesday and didnt get home til 11 and i couldnt sleep so i had an hour and a half of sleep before waking up to leave on thursday morning)

so i had to do that thursday, saturday and sunday, if i did the 5k on friday i would have had to do that 4 days in a row, bright side is theres no traffic at that time

anyways, first up was yoga and this was way better than expected, thought i was gon’ be the only dude but there were plenty there and ive only done p90x yoga but id say im better than 70% of people there, its some rudimentary yoga but there seemed to be some influencers out there that seemed clueless but whatever, they were stretching with their *ss in front so no complaints (sorry no pics of that either  )

skipped the 5k so next up was 10k and its always fun running around a closed park and getting to go backstage, a few characters and displays are sprinkled throughout but it was terrible timing for the heatwave to kick in though, good thing the 10k is short enough that it didnt get hot enough, still 85 degrees though and felt hotter because the runner in the park are kind of close to each other so the temp definitely felt 5-10 degrees hotter

then sundays the main event and gotta say, disney is making bank on this event, theres more than 11k runners in the half alone and about 7800+ for the 10k

anyways, it was ~85 degrees at 5am so it was just getting warmer by the minute but once we got to the streets of anaheim, there were more breeze but i think it was closer to 95 degrees by the time i finished

got to run around the angels stadium which is always a good break from about 8 miles outside the park, they did have dj’s playing music at every mile marker but i think it needs more - all the photo ops were inside the park only outside of just strangers chillin on the sidewalk (there were a star wars group that dressed up to cheer the runners and took pics with which is always appreciated)

overall, really glad the hlaf marathons back in anaheim, i missed the first one back in january because it sold out quick and I always have fun and the challenge and pain is kind of worth it for the accomplishment of finishing after all the training and doing it in costume werent an easy task either (ran the half in jorts for gods sake  )

19.3 miles back to back is tough and next january, im doing the 5k, 10k and half so its back to training again starting next week, hopefully it cools off already

welp time to reload the ice pack, gobble up some aleve and take some edibles to fall asleep early

i was there yesterday till just before 1 and we had to get the **** outta there

i wanted to stay longer but after having brunch at paseo, i went to the park and walking around felt like i was swimming in sweat so i had to leave by 11… it was nuts and the park was empty because of the heat, the day before i jumped in the grizzly river run 6 times because it was a walk on

its also the exact reason why disney were so anal about getting those waivers signed

we cancelled our Sunday. After we sweltered all week, even tho we missed Tikilandday we weren't about to put up with the closures or the heat. Probably try to go this friday or weekend when it's a balmy 80 degrees

I’m just glad I don’t go peak summer cause if I did, and it was a heat wave, we’re just buying neck fans and lots of waters. Ain’t nothin stopping my Disney train.
