Lower rims is crazy
Yeah, they've already got a smaller ball and closer 3 point line, but a lower rim is too much. Middle school kids are out here playing on 10 foot rims, so that would be a step too far me thinks.

Women don’t even watch the WNBA like that, which is a large part why it doesnt make any money
Not once has a woman who wasn’t a former college basketball player herself brought up the WNBA in conversation with me. They can’t get paid more if the teams don’t even make a profit, and they can’t make a profit if nobody watches, don’t know why this conversation has to be rehashed every year.
Shrinking the court makes a lot more sense than lowering the rim.Lowering the rims has always been dumb.
Unless you are going to lower the rims for youth, HS, College, and FIBA leagues; only having them lowered in the WNBA is absolutely stupid.
You know what? Lets just stop trying to be logical about this, lets just nod and let them say what they want to say, let time run its course so they can get to where they want to be then they can claim they did it without mens help.
That will depend on if they see this success as blood in the water.Yea, once Clark doesn't pan out things will go back to normal. You are right.
Again, the issue is people think NCAA popularity/interest is supposed to translate to the WNBA. There are so many reasons for even non-basketball fans to get behind a college program during a hot run. To expect that to translate to a pro league where most don't even know how to watch it's games and/or have a team within 2 states of their home-base is a lot to ask for. That will depend on if they see this success as blood in the water.
if it sparks a change in women’s basketball then I think it’ll grow bigger than it is now for sure.
Draymond said it best as to who the biggest supporters of the WNBA are.Of course the glaring flaw in Burr's sentiment is that most women don't watch sports... but most men do.
That reasoning is right in line with people who say "But black people shoot each other all the time" when someone is talking about police brutality towards black people.
"Maybe their biggest problem isn't police; maybe their biggest problem is theirselves."
Finger-pointing their own ingroup fails to acknowledge the disrespect from their outgroups.
It's easy for outgroups to blame ingroups because that removes any responsibility, and thats a lot more comfortable.
You better slam heroin between your toes like a real man.Chatty Patty drug of choice

"Women's basketball" isn't a thing.
There is Youth Basketball.
There is College Basketball.
There is WNBA.
The first two are disconnected from the last one.
The tv ratings for the “boring” women’s game exceeded the men’s Final Four for the first time in history. And the players at the forefront of that are now in the WNBA.Again, the issue is people think NCAA popularity/interest is supposed to translate to the WNBA.
