Scumbags IMO. Raising kids is tough but many of these new school parents bash their kids to us folks that don’t have kids every chance they get. Try to tell me that I have nice things because I’m not “burdened” with kids. It gets so bad that I have to ask them if they would ever want to give their kids back to shake them up to their words. What’s worse is these clowns bash their kids in their faces. I don’t ever remember my mother bashing me to others or to my face.

Warm Take

Parents feeding their OWN children candy is counterproductive. The world is already going to throw Da Sugar in their direction so there's no point in aiding in that battle.

School, friends, grandparents (especially) will spoil them and throw the junk in their direction.

Plus children will simply eat whatever is IN the house so if you don't keep that stuff in the house 75% of the struggle is already taken care of.

And to the, "Ehhh why won't you let a kid be a kid" first responders; they will be fine and get over it.

Very counterproductive. I know someones Mom that floods their house up with candy during Halloween but complains that she has to take time out of her day to keep taking her kids to the dentist.

Idk how it should be regulated but other than just giving tickets for it in hopes it doesn't continue.

But...

I'm an avid bicycle rider at the beach and I can't even count how many times I've seen dogs running and being pulled by their owner while the owner is bicycling. Totally against it. Many times I've seen dogs gasping for air & water and the owner doesn't care in the world, just simply ignoring the dog. It really grinds my gears on a summer day and the ground is scorching hot. Bloody paws because you want the dog to keep up with you while you're on a "bike." Selfish.

I was telling someone this recently. We were specifically talking about the horror genre. They aren't as scary anymore because high definition makes the cgi stand out more.

The dark lighting and grittiness of the 80s and 90S films worked better for horror movies IMO.
