^ my boy swaggy P not invited?
best tie color and pattern for an interview?
and no i will not use the search function.
Agreed. I get hit up by recruiters and head hunters to go to interviews here and there. It boggles my mind that folks put in so much thought about what to wear (unless it's a fashion related job where they might ask you to explain your wardrobe of choice on the spot). I spend most of the time researching the company and do my best in the interview. This is my default outfit:Hard to go wrong with a solid color silk tie in navy or grey and a white shirt.

I guess so, but I always thought the primary purpose of this thread is to serve as a foundation to building a new robust wardrobe and evolving from the (NT definitition of) streetwear stage. But this is exactly what the thread is about. It's not like he went to "Job Interviewing Better Thread" and asked what to wear.
Exactly and dude is asking for advice to get over the hump or at least get him started.
Yes it is a solid advice to say "know the job you're applying for and the be knowledgeable about company you are applying at first" but by your definition of what this thread is about, that doesn't really help with that.
He was just asking what colors to go with what, sounds simple enough but most of us back in high school would likely go to Ross or Marshall and get the shirt and tie bundle and look like we are about to go to prom with the contrasting color satin shirt and tie.
I mean yes you can go to the interview wearing a choppa suit and get the job but asking for a better alternative doesn't hurt.
I'm just saying the replies sounds a bit discouraging if the answers you get are like "don't worry about what you're wearing, do your research about the job" when you simply want to know what color tie to wear. I think we can give people the benefit of a doubt that they have done their research on the job and not simply relying on the suit to get them hired.
if these are the hybrid trousers you're talking about, all 3 pairs that I've had got messed up after one wash. Streaks and fades all over the place, and I don't mean like the ones you get on raw denim had to dump them at the homeless shelter.I just recieved my first pair of Levi's 511 trousers. Fit is excellent. I got the dark gray color. There's one issue, they feel like cheap plastic. I wore them around the house and they wrinkle so bad, especially behind the knee. It's like the marks from wearing raw denim for yrs. I tried ironing them and the wrinkles don't come out all the way. The pants just don't feel like cotton.
Is this just this one color? Do I need to wash a few times? How do I get these things to feel like normal soft cotton?
do any of you guys get your everyday jeans or pants tailored?
found a great tailor & I'm contemplating getting them tailored/tapered.

I've gotten jeans and pants tailored. Jeans I just wanted a smaller leg opening so I just got them tailored from about the knee down. Go for it if you want a more tailored look or better fit. Especially since you said they are a great tailor
Just now catching up on everything since my last post.
Here's a look at the JohnElliott co dune color in non filtered pics
