Been following this thread religiously, definitely has made me rethink how I dress, to the point that even the wifey has noticed. Here's what I wore to work today. I'm a teacher and dean of students btw...I went with stripes today, I personally feel that I was able to make it work, I kept in mind a lot of the color and pattern advice in here.

Doesnt have to be a v-neck crew necks are fine and the point of the tie is to accent your outfit just because you cant see the whole tie doesnt mean it shouldnt be there. Just got a similar vest plan on pulling off this look

I'm leaning towards the Sorels at this time. Has anyone ever owned Sorel boots/shoes before?
I guess it depends on where you live. Go with the Sorels, if you need a REAL Winter boot (they are comfy and warm too) that will last forevere. You will get more wear out of the LL Beans seeing you can get a god 8 months wear out of them.

Nobody really said that it MUST be a V-Neck. In his situation and what he was wearing. A vneck would do it more justice. ^^ that is fly. but it doesn't get that cold here

I will be sporting this jacket so far with a suede tie and some dark Diesel jeans. Not sure if I'll have a white button up or not yet. Contemplating. It might look better with a gray. Maybe a black shirt with a different tie. Not sure yet.
